It was a pleasure returning to the hotel. The pool was a delight to use and was in full working order. It would be useful if there was a better standard of pool-side service, as there didn't appear to be any waiting staff serving guests by the pool.

This hotel is in a good location in Old Cochin, not far from the sights and shops. It’s a colonial building, built to keep out the heat, so it has an old world charm, wooden floors, high ceilings and heavy furniture. The rooms are not sea view, as that would make them very hot. There is an open air restaurant... More

Thank you to the management and staff. Just spent a week here with my 5 year old. The hotel was incredibly comfortable, accommodating for families with very helpful staff. I recommend it. Away from the bustle of the fishing net precinct the outdoor lounge catches the evening breeze and is a great place to while away the evenings. A decent... More

We stayed for three nights in late March- early April 2014. The building has character, the property is in a good location, and all staff members were helpful, friendly and provided good service. That being said, we left with the impression the management isn’t interested in capturing the hotel’s full potential. Examples of easy to fix problems we observed during... More

Staying at the Old Lighthouse was the best thing of our Kerala trip. We checked in and were shown to our room, the AC in our room was not functioning and when I complained immediately we were given a better and nicer room. The staff is super friendly and always smiling. The buffet breakfast which was included in our package... More

In March 2014 I stayed with 9 friends for 3 nights in the hotel. The location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the garden with a pool, the quality of the food in the restaurant and the sea view from the restaurant tables everything was much more than we expected. The reception at arrival with a welcome drink the complimentary foot... More

A group of 8 of us travelled India in February. We had a great time and everything went without a hitch. All flights on time and as good as can be. All hotels as described with easy check in, well all except one! We arrived at the old lighthouse having just left the backwaters as per our schedule. I had... More
