We had a lovely two nights at Eden Garden. Mel and her family were so kind and welcoming - and what fabulous food! Although basic, the rooms were spotlessly clean and a fridge was a very welcomed addition to keep our drinks cold. I'd recommend this delightful homestay to anyone.

Eden Garden is lovely!Judith was so hospitable even getting up at 5am to make us breakfast!the rooms are basic but comfortable and have everything you need. If you have a chance ask Judith to cook you an evening meal!i must say it was the best meal I had the whole time I was in Kerela!

Mel and Judith were fantastic hosts during our two stays (1 night, then 2 nights a week later). On our first stay we arrived separately, with one arriving at 6.30pm, the other late at 10.30pm. Judith was so welcoming and accommodating, cooking both of us dinner so late when we hadn't even pre-arranged it and the food was superb. The... More

Mel and Judith were brilliant hosts making us feel totally at home in their lovely quiet haven of peace away from the noise of the city. We returned late on our last night in Kerala neglecting to request an evening meal in advance. But within 20 minutes Judith had magicked up a delicious dinner featuring her trademark soup (a rarity... More

I chose this initially because if the reviews on Tripadvisor - and it didn't disappoint. Ideally located, clean rooms with air con and TV, good food, internet access and wi-fi, great hosts. The family was friendly and helpful. I can not stress enough that homestays are the way to go in India - the hosts are proud of their accommodation... More

My daughter and I stayed two nights while visiting Cochin and felt completely at home in this charming place. It was a treat to stay in a real neighborhood in Fort Cochin and the dinner and breakfasts we had were the best eating we enjoyed in south India. We enjoyed the resident doves, turkeys, parakeets, and raptors in the yard.

We stayed in this homestay February 2012 and it was the best homestay of our experience while travelling through southern Kerala. Nothing was too much trouble for Judith and her family. The food was the best we ate anywhere. We have not stopped recommending it to friends and family and when we return to travel through northern Kerala we will... More

We booked 3 nights in Eden Garden via Mahindra Homestays at the start of our 2 week holiday in Kerala. Our room was in the downstairs of the annexe situated in their peaceful garden which is tucked away down a lane of one of the main roads out of Fort Kochi. We were greeted with a delicious meal prepared by... More

Our plane was delayed so we only managed 1 night at Eden Garden instead of two. Judith's welcome was wonderful and she cooked us a really delicious vegetarian meal. The rooms are clean and welcoming - the air conditioning was very welcome! Eden Garden is about 15 minutes walk from the Chinese Fishing nets or 5 minutes by Tuc Tuc.
