This is about ten minutes walk from the centre of Cochin so quieter than the other hotels we saw. The rooms are all different - the Mauritius room is huge and although it does lead to the main hall it has double doors and we didn't hear a thing. The other reviews speak of the room leading onto reception -... More

We stopped at the Tea bungalow for two nights as part of a tour of India. Ideally located to explore Kochin. We stopped in the Mauritius room which was huge! Only thing I didn't like was that the room was in the reception area. Pool very small but fine for cooling off, they have proper sun loungers and umbrellas. Food... More

This is an interesting place and shows that the owners have put their heart in maintaining this place. The staff is very cordial and goes far in making you comfortable at their place. Though slightly on the expensive side, the room quality and service level makes up for it. Each room has been given a different character, so one may... More

Perfect position, pool very small but OK for a quick cool off. The food is excellent and can be eaten inside or out with fans to keep the heat down. Staff very friendly and helpful. We walked our feet off in every direction. At 5pm fishing boats return and its a mad sort and auction of all the catch. A... More

Unfortunately the tea bungalow is in a great location but the accommodation was disappointing there is a pool however overall it is not very good. The towels are thread bare no hot water and the floor was not clean. We had a phone call at 11.00'pm requesting if we wanted an early morning call and indicated no we did not... More

An interesting place. More of a guest house than a hotel. Each room had something different in it. There is a library here of books left by travellers. Only stayed the one night. I would have like to have stayed longer. Food was excellent, as was the service. Layout was simple but quaint. Had breakfast out by the pool.

Within walking distance from everything this is a quite oasis. With a great pool (great asset if you travel in a city with young kids like we do, 4 and 6 year old daughters :-). Very helpful staff. General Manager Francis has got good stories about his 20 years of hotel experience in Fort Kochi. And especially Jackson knows everything... More

Tea Bunglow is a excellent boutique hotel at a convenient location in Fort Kochin. The hotel is located close to the beach, the basilica and good restaurants. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous. I stayed in the room "Kochi" which had a very nice sit out with a view of the swimming pool. I also had the chance to... More

You enter this hotel and start to get amazed by their hospitality. The staff is very courteous and helping but doesn't impose themselves on you when you don't want (that's perfect, right?)! Wish I could remember all their names but I remember Francis, (Manager) and obviously Mr Dempo, the owner of this wonderful property. A chat with him on the... More

We arrived in the morning but it was no problem to get our room immediately w/o an extra charge. That’s not naturally the case – we have had different experiences with other hotels. It’s a very nice small hotel and if you like a personal atmosphere it’s a really good deal. Staff is very helpful and the room we had... More
