The Tea Bungalow was our first overnight accommodation after a long flight and was very inviting cool and colonial in feel. Our room was not ready so we explored Fort Cochin on foot for a couple of hours and the great location meant we could easily get to the wonderful vibrant waterfront and were even lucky enough to witness the... This was the most expensive place that we stayed on a budget family holiday in India for a month. Really beautiful building being really excellently run. The room was amazing the food was amazing the manager couldn't do enough to help us, it was a brilliant stay with outstanding service, but we did spend £200 in 2 days (1 night)... More

We stayed at the Tea Bungalow in Fort Cochin as it looked like a pleasant colonial building in a good location. So far, so good. The problem for me was that there was not enough attention to detail or care taken for the money being spent. We were staying in shoulder season and so "only" paying US$240 per night. It... More

We only stayed for one night at the Tea Bungalow but really enjoyed it. The room was spotless and tastefully furnished, the bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom was a joy with a large, powerful hot shower. The outside area was cute, and the pool was nice to cool off in, although there were quite a few flies in it... More

We stayed here two nights in December 2014. The staff were most helpful and even though we arrived late at night they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and settled. Our room was near the road and we had a lot of traffic noise on the first night. Manager told us that this was due to... More

This is a beautiful hotel, it feels like an oasis of calm tucked away in the heart of historic Cochin. Rooms were wonderful and the pool area was very blissed out, wonderful sound of birds and monkeys when you are swimming! I wouldn't stay anywhere else if I went back to Kochi.

Arrived in Cochin early in the morning and after a pleasant adventurous road trip arrived at the Tea Bungalow. From first sight very attractive location to stay with cool, clean and welcoming features. Our stay was more than pleasant here and the staff extremely willing to support, and help you. Little English is spoken by the workers, but they accommodate... More

This delightful hotel is ideally placed in Cochin, being halfway between the beachfront and the Dutch Palace, Jewish synagogue and the wonderful shops in Jew Town - about a 10-20 minute walk from each. Small and stylish, the ten rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Breakfast - served by the swimming pool, is excellent. A pretty garden at the front... More

We stayed here for four nights and loved it the whole time. Our room was incredible (Goa) and with so few rooms we felt like we had the pool to ourselves the whole time. Everything was clean and smelled amazing. Francis, the manager, was exceptional and made sure our stay was perfect the whole time. The staff were all so... More

We spent two nights here as part of a private tour. I can't speak about value for money since I don't know how much it cost but I think this is a cozy option for a stay in Kochi. Pros: • Abundant and tasty made-to-order breakfast including fruit platter, freshly squeezed juice, and the option of an Indian (highly recommended!)... More
