In the heart of old Cochin and therefore within a short walk of shops churches, fort and even the famed fishing nets. Property acquired as a wreck in 2010 from Brooke Bond and the owner very and quite rightly proud of what he has achieved since. We stayed briefly twice and found it comfortable if perhaps a little unpolished around... More

Thank you to Frances the manager who proved to be a kind and hospitable host (my family are enjoying the yummy jam you gave us on departure). Central to all places in Fort Kochi. Very relaxed, quiet and well appointed. The Indian breakfast was excellent and the pool area was small but perfectly formed. A great boutique option in the... More

Perfect hotel for a short stay in Cochin. We stayed in a twin room on the ground floor near reception. It was spacious and had direct access to pool and breakfast area. Francis, the owner was fantastic and helped us with directions for walking around Fort Cochin and also arranged transport to our next destination in Munnar. The location of... More

Tea Bungalow is situated in Fort Kochi on a pretty central location. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The bathrooms are very spacious too. The breakfast is good with a Western style menu. The staff is exceptionally helpfull and friendly. Wifi could be improved but okay.

After a very long trip from Chicago to Kochi, arriving late at night, it was like a dream to be escorted to our beautiful, unique room at this lovely, small hotel. We were greeted so warmly by the night staff, and ended up staying 5 nights, at the beginning and end of our two weeks in Kerala. From my very... More

Four of us stayed here, for two nights, as part of our Kerala trip. We found the place very friendly. The manger was always eager to please. The food was good with the four of us having a whole large fish, for dinner one night, which had been bought in the market that day. The hotel is very close to... More

We stay across the road and thought we'd finally try the restaurant out for lunch .. big mistake we were the only ones there the surroundings were fine but service slow and food boring and way way over priced by about 4 times for what could be had at an average restaurant near bye. to this added several taxes service... This hotel exceeded my expectations. I assumed that the accommodations would be rather tired due to the age of the property and the reasonable price, but the room was very clean with updated furniture and nicely renovated bathrooms. The location is also great, walking distance or short tuk tuk all around Fort Kochi. Breakfast and lunch was delicious and the... More

We stayed 2 nights here as part of a tour of Kerala. The hotel is ideally situated in Fort Cochin for sightseeing on foot the area. The building is set in a lovely garden and you feel as if you are stepping into a bygone era. Our room was Goa, one of the rooms off the main lobby. That felt... More

We travelled with our two girls (3 and 4) and had a lovely time at Tea Bungalows. We stayed in Galle - which is a large upstairs room which easily accommodated the four of us. It had lovely sitting areas on the balcony, so we could put the girls to bed early and enjoy the evening. The meals were good,... More
