We stayed here in December 2013. A clean and welcoming place to stay. Sudi and Beena were friendly, helpful and gracious hosts. They arranged our Kathakali experience and provided delicious food. We enjoyed eating with others and we met some really lovely fellow travellers. Although not centrally located, it was easy to get a tuktuk to and from town. We... More

Aay! My parents and I came across Beena Homestay in one of our travel guides. Although I have lived in India for almost two years, I had not had the chance to visit Kerala, so I was not sure of what to expect of Fort Kochi and the whole homestay experience in an unknown state. However, I can only give... More

We stayed as a party of five at the same time as the earlier reviewer and completely disagree with the negative comments. Yes there was an extension being built at an adjacent house, but we never saw anyone working in the evening and the noise was minimal. The rooms are spotless, and Beena and Sudi are the nicest, most friendly... More

Our family of 4 spent one night at Beena Homestay. First - the hosts are a lovely family. Beena is warm, humorous, generous and gentle. Sudi cared for our every need and supplied delicious snacks, dinner and breakfast while chatting with us and providing information. Beena very kindly arranged for our Kathakali experience as well. Both went out of their... More

We arrive at Beena Homestay around 5:30Pm in March and have a very small room on the ground floor. The “Ellen” room. There is a window which faces an alleyway and another building about three feet away. Supper is at 7 and it isn’t so bad. There is a common living room where everyone eats. It is dull, very faux... “MR.C J AND HIS FRIEND- A rude person accompanied by a very quiet young girl”. His entire allegations are baseless and untrue and we humbly request Trip adviser to review and remove this review from our page. Our responses to his review are mentioned below. Mr. CJ of 75 years, visited our home stay along with a young lady in... More

The hospitality we received at Beena Homestay was exceptional. Our room and bathroom was immaculately clean. We felt spoilt being served 6 different dishes for dinner, all with a South Indian touch (lots of coconut). Breakfast was a mix of fresh fruit, Indian and continental style options. We were given great advice on where in Fort Kochi to head for... More

If you want to eat authentic, freshly-made Keralan cuisine in a warm, welcoming family atmosphere, then you should book this place well in advance. The food is simply stunning but is easily matched by the warm welcome provided by Beena and Sudi. The rooms are sparklingly clean and my air-con worked a treat - essential if you're daft enough to... Beena Homestay was really good place to stay in Fort Cochin. The room was very clean, Wi-Fi worked really well and bed was good. At the time we were visiting Kerala and Beena's Homestay it was really hot and humid and we chose the room with fan which was wrong choice, so this is a tip for you: choose the... More

Beena's homestay is a perfect retreat in Cochin. The accommodation is impeccable and the garden area provides a shady haven from the heat . The hosts are so welcoming and helpful, and the food... amazing. A great place to stay.
