Room was very basic no air condition just fan. There was no hot water and the place was quite run down. Hosts were nice and the food excellent. Location is ok but there are a lot of more convenient places in Cochin.

This place is just lovely. It's quiet, leafy and home from home - I honestly felt like I was staying with a family member rather than at a hotel! The owners (Sheeba and Ashley) made us feel really welcome and gave us delicious chai (free) as well as information about the local area. The only slight issue was that when... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms are lovely and the rooftop garden is amazing. There are loads of mosquitos, so come prepared. The internet doesn't work - not even in the lobby. The guesthouse is approximately 15 minutes walk from the center of town. The hosts were trying to be super nice but it was a bit over... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. The place is lovely, but the hosts were truly amazing. They were friendly, reliable, honest and would do anything they could to accommodate our needs. They have a very good reputation amongst the locals in Fort Cochin. The hosts helped organise anything we needed included trips to the Backwaters, Markets and Dr's! They treated... More

Sheeba and Ashley are an incredibly kind and welcoming couple and will make you feel at home. They offer you chai and helpful advice at every opportunity, and provide a delicious complimentary breakfast. If you're leaving early in the morning for activities or onward travel, Sheeba will even provide a packed breakfast. One morning we missed Sheeba as we left... More

We stayed here twice during our 2 month trip around India. The hosts cannot do enough for you, they are a lovely couple who welcome every guest into their home serving you lime tea on arrival. The rooms are very characterful and very reasonably priced. There is the option for aircon. There is a very peaceful rooftop terrace on top... More

Had a hot and humid three nights here on arrival in India. There's some serious animal noise in the environs to contend with and without ac you have to keep the windows open! Lovely green garden attracts fat mosquitos so come prepared! Roof top is a nice break from the gloomy grounds. I had a ground floor room stuck at... More

I cannot recommend Green Woods strongly enough. Sheeba and Ashley are fantastic hosts - Ashley gave us a thorough introduction to the sights of Kochi on a massive homemade map and Sheeba is one of the most warm and friendly people you will ever meet. She made my girlfriend and I feel so much at home, bringing us cups of... More

A lot of previous reviews are right on the spot! and we are very lucky to get the room upstairs, which is only fan but perfectly ok for our visit in Feb. Sheeba was quick in replying my email and we had some problems at Chennai airport with our flight and she was able to keep our room till late... More

We booked a few nights here and extended our stay because it was so convenient to the attractions of Fort Cochin, yet very reasonably priced. It was a leafy oasis down a little lane and with a pleasant shaded rooftop to relax or enjoy the included breakfast. A great find.
