I went to Mangalore for a freinds wedding and I stayed at Mangalore's hotel manorama which is close to the city centre mall. I must say, there are are many pieces of art that are very beautiful and jaw-droppping. The hotel itself is a very old one and follows a very old style of hotel-keeping. I stayed for 2 days... More

What horrible behaviour, what bad faith and arrogance ! They wanted to give me a 2 cm arm chair cover as extra-bed, the price charged at the end of our stay was higher than the price given orally before, etc. etc. All this with arrogance and disdain... Never again !

Stayed for 2 days with relatives as a group in a several ordinary rooms. The room as such is spacious, linen was clean and bathroom was below average. Its a typical Indian hotel...they seem to have kept the old tradition of poor service and pathetic hospitality. But for the price they offer...its a good value for money!! Towels and soap... More

Having the rooms booked before, when we returned after a show in the neighbourhood theatre, we were rudely told that none of the students comprising of boys as well as girls and staff could be accommodated, but only the 'Luggage' could be taken in the rooms, for the night stay! Lot of confusion was created and the receptionist claimed that... More

I am a doctor. Me with 2 of my colleagues had been to Mangalore to attend a workshop. when a male colleague of mine went to enquiry for a double room and one single room, the front desk staff said the rooms were available. when he came to know that we had a female colleague with us, he blankly refused... I visited Mangalore with parents for a 5-day temple tour. The room is swanky, the front office alluring - but within a couple of days the real picture unfolds. Service in this hotel is poor, and worse the staff is disrespectful. For starters, we got our morning teas only after a lot of phoning and great delay, there being virtually... More

'Manorama' can be a quite decent yet very affordable stay in Mangalore. It is in the heart of the city and has enough parking space. The property owner seems to have a liking for collectibles - the reception is filled with sculptures and other collectibles. There's an old pendulum clock towards the stairs. The hotel does have some nice air... More

I stayed there for one day, though the price was reasonable for a budget hotel. The service was really pathetic. The water was dirty, and when I asked for towels it took them 1 hour and 2 reminders to get it.

I had to stay in Mangalore for 2 weeks for official work and was so thrilled to get this hotel for my stay. The hotel was cheap..Clean room and big room, clean bathroom..linen ok..location perfect..only problem was staff had to be told atleast 3-4 times to get your work done which was sad..but staying most of the time out meant... It is undergoing renovation and we got to stay on the 5th floor in one of their semi-deluxe Non AC double room which was already renovated, hence very clean and the fittings were also new and functioned efficiently. The room was very spacious, in fact, more than what we had bargained for. There is a shortage of manpower but they... More
