we had to stay in mangalore for a night in our trip towards goa.. checked in because it was vry close to the city center mall.. price was only 590 rupees per night.. and the advantage is an excellent veg hotel named janatha deluxe, just adjacent to hotel manorama..
The hotel is quite old and not very clean, though pretty nice for its price. It's situated in the city centre not far away from the bus station and central mall. We paid less than 600 Rp for double room.
