We toured Mangalore in Nov 2012 and stayed in "The Saffron" over the weekend. It was decently priced. The rooms were very spacious and well maintained. The staff were very courteous and helped us with our queries. I would recommend "The Saffron" to all those who plan to visit Mangalore.

Pls dont expect 5 star comforts; this is a centrally located good budget hotel with decent service and food. Breakfast spread could have been better, but overall acceptable. Staff is helpful and were able to arrange a city cab for us at very short notice.

I visited this property in Jan. I booked a room with 1 extra bed and the room was too small witht he extra bed. They had a bigger room which they did not offer me.
