We stayed at the Gateway hotel in mangalore during our stay in 2008. The rooms were well furnished and there were lot of eatouts nearby. You can book a cab from the helpdesk for beach tour and the support staff is really helpful. Go for it if you are on a couple of days leisure holiday. more

Nice room but bathroom was a little run down. Beautiful lobby and pool but the problem is as soon as you step out of the hotel or go to the pool area you feel like you are next to a fish market because of the stench. Also the surroundings of the hotel, the approach road etc are not very nice.... more

This is a hotel which could charge lesser for the lousy rooms and lousier staff.The location is way out and smells of dead fish.Taj should give up this property. more

We were in Mangalore for a wedding.The hotel is slightly away from the main city center,this one disadvantage,if you would like to walk around the town or do some shopping.During the day time plenty of autos are available. We went to mangalore for our anniversary. This was definitely the best hotel there and we got a great rate. The room was clean. The restaurant was OK but since Mangalore had plenty of dining options, that didnt matter much. Would definitely stay there again if I am in Mangalore. more

We drove from Bangalore to Mangalore. Bad drive through beautiful country. We needed to rest our tired bones. We stayed at the Gateway hotel ( also known locally as Taj Manjuran). A nice hotel, not very big, good service, clean rooms ( we stayed in the superior type), good breakfast, good location, good and efficient frontdesk. Overall a good experience. more

Taj Manjarun (now called Gateway Manjarun) is one of the best places you can stay in Mangalore. It offer a good 3 Star+ accommodation at unbelievably low tariffs. The restaurants a good and would recommend the Kori Roti. more
