First of all, they treated us terrible once we first got there! They had snotty comments about our group of people! They treated us rudely during breakfast! The room wasn't clean, and smelled of moth balls! The Toilet was disgusting. The owner had mentioned to show us the wedding venues and she never showed up!

I'm very sorry for your experience at Hacienda Vargas and your dissatisfaction with the room. It was unfortunate that you made your reservation for 2 people, but you actually had 6 in your party. The room you reserved was a two-room suite and could accommodate up to 4 persons with advance notice and never would have been rented it out... More

I had to read the "terrrible" reviews for this bed & breakfast because absolutely nothing about our stay was terrible! LOL. From the very beginning, Cynthia very quickly returned my e-mails before I ever even made a reservation. The prices were very clear. There were no surprises. This is a rural location. That's exactly why we chose this place to... More

Thank you to Cynthia and Spence who made my wedding reception so sweet and romantic. Cynthia was gracious about explaining packages in the beginning, and nailing down all the details during the planning stages. We were able to see other wedding events, and bring our vendors around to orient everyone. All of the planning made for a carefree, outdoor reception... More

We just had our small wedding at Hacienda Vargas and we couldn't be happier with the choice of the venue! Both Cynthia & Spence were extremely accommodating and helpful in making our day special! Most of our guests stayed at the property overnight and were able to join us for a delicious breakfast by Spence! All our guests enjoyed their... More

A perfect romantic getaway. Great room, wonderful fire place, quaint bathroom and tub. Spence was a great cook - breakfasts were scrumptious and timed by our schedule. Great open spaces! Loved everything about it! We will be back.

We were seeking something out of the ordinary hotel/motel experience and by chance found Hacienda Vargas. Quaint, comfortable, and unique are just starters to our stay. This was followed by excellent service, a fantastic breakfast, and our room was wonderful - claw foot tub, Kiva fireplace, antiques, and open beam ceilings with herringbone planks above your head. In addition, snacks... More

We just spent four days at this wonderful B&B. The hacienda is an old traditional yet beautiful, comfortable place for the small wedding we had there. Best of all Cynthia & Spence are incredible hosts and Spence provides an unbelievably gracious breakfast. This is not your "run of the mill" B&B! We will be returning for years to come.

I was seeking a weekend of relaxation and calm for the both of us and did a quick search of B&B in the area . Hacienda Vargas was off the beaten path and looked very tranquil . The history of the house , and the grounds surrounding the house were all very colorful and interesting . The visit there was... More
