After seeing good ratings and reviews in TripAdvisor me and my friends opted for Athithi Homestay in Chikamagalur. But sadly we were very disappointed with the kind of facilities we got for the money we paid. The only thing i liked about this home stay is the food and nothing else as mentioned in most of the reviews. To all... More

We stayed only one night at the Athithi coffee house in the middle of the coffee plantage. A very special experience. We watched the washing and drying of the freshly picked coffee beans and made an evening stroll in the hills. The homestay has a very friendly staff and a good cook, who made us a very good Indian meal... More

This place should be one of the first options for visitors to Chikmagalur for a fulfilling holiday. I went with my family - with two young children and an aged mother who moves around in a wheel chair and walking stick. The staff were very helpful and we had a very peaceful holiday right in the middle of a coffee... More

It was a big extended family outing with 16 of us. Stayed for two days on 27th & 28th. This is our second visit. The hills , the greenery & coffee plantation makes this place very unique. We went for a walk in coffee plantation, witnessed the processing of coffee fruit & played cricket, Badminton etc. as there is large... More

Me and my wife stayed for 2 nights. A bit short of my expectations. Chef Krishna cooked some good food. However seems owners are not interested at all I your stay and it's hospitality of Krishna which makes you feel welcome here. However location is good with lots of greenery around. Rooms are good enough.

So we, me and my wife, traveled on weekend. Reached sat morning and left next morning. We were the only guest in the old-house turned to home stay - but very richly maintained. So there was no fuss for waiting for food and all. Krishna is the care taker and cook. You shall be captivated by his smile all the... More

I am sorry to be rating this average, but this place could be a lot better in some areas. The good: Food: 5/5 - kudos to the chef Krishna. Do note however that its not exceptional compared to other good home stays I have been at Ambiance: 4/5 - in the middle of an estate. Krishna tries his best to... More
