Right from the time we entered the coffee territory - about 10 kms before the estate, we felt we were entering some blessed land! To begin with, the road / drive was wonderful. The entrance to the estate was quaint and had an "old-ish" touch to it. The cottages were wonderful. The best part was themornings - when one was... More

That little drive up the mountain covered with coffee estates on the way to Thippenahhali Estate sets the perfect platform to what you are going to experience the moment you enter the estate. In fact, you will say that the drive was nowhere near to what you will be greeted at this estate that is surrounded by nature, by its... More

Great place inside the coffee estate. Higher priced cottages (outside the main house) are w-a-y better than the rest (only slightly economical). Agree with most of the positive comments by other reviewers. However, we did not have the benefit of enjoying the warmth of the host family. It is possible that they are tired of meeting complete strangers or were... More

Initially we had booked the low end rooms. But once we reached there and saw the individual cottages, we were left breathless!! They had such an amazing view facing the imposing Mullyangiri peak that we immediately upgraded to those cottages. They were nice old heritage type cottages reflecting the culture of local architecture. It had a nice balcony with easy... More

We checked into the hotel on an evening. The family was very hospitable and had prepared the room for us very well. The location of the place is excellent and the buildings were built in the old colonial style. They had good options for recreation like TT board, walker's track (in the coffee estate) and gardens. The food was good... More

We were a group of four families, a total of 8 adults and 7 children. Booked all four rooms except the one in the main bungalow. It was like a private resort bcos it was only us in the whole place other than the hosts for 3 nights. All rooms were clean and neat. food was good. location was good.... More

Excellent accommodation, picturesque location, great warm hosts made this a memorable weekend. Just about 5-6 kms away from the town you are transformed when you enter the estate into another era. A photographers ideal hangout with superb gardens and a wide array of exotic flowers The food and accommodation were spot on and the hosts, staff make you feel welcome... More

I recently visited chikmagalur with a group of friends. Truly one of the most quaint, peaceful, pristine places I have been to, we stayed at the Thippannahalli Home stay. The hospitality, the spread of the food, the cleanliness and amenities available were excellent. A very well managed place.... The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. The rooms are all uniquely... More
