Capitol, though a bit run down, is a good hotel located pretty close to the central business district (MG Road, Vittal Mallya Road). The rooms are big, with a massage chair in every room - helps you relax after a long days work with your clients. more

I regularly patronise the Capitol for my business trips. The warmth and hospitality of the staff is excellent and are more cordial. They go out of the normal charter of their duties to make the guest feel absolutely at home. The restaurant i.e. 24x7 coffee shop is managed in an impeccable condition and are very cordial. Always felt at home... more

Beware of the "free drinks and snacks - Happy Hour". They promise it then scam you for a large bill. No wash cloths in bathroom. Shower worked 2 out of 3 times. Front desk staff refused to call a taxi for me, insisting that I have to use their grossly over-priced hotel car to get to the airport. Service doesn't... more

If you got to be in an Indian city for the full month of May for business, it better be Bangalore. And The Capitol fitted me like Levis jeans. Located a few brisk steps away Cubbon Park, which has a fine jogging track in its Queen's Park, this hotel would give you cool summer mornings of lush green foliage. The... more

Had been to this hotel to attend a training from Jan 10-12. This was the most badly maintained hotel that i've been to. The washroms had broken taps, water logging on the floors, no paper napkins available... was really a badly experience. Didnt have an option as the company that was conducting the training had booked this for three days. more

I was forced to stay at this hotel due to all the other decent hotels in Bangalore being sold out due to conferences and the arrival of senior members of the ruling party. Having read the reviews on Tripadvisor I approached this hotel with trepidation. It looks pretty smart from the front, however from the front desk staff to the... more

The company my husband works for had booked us into the Royal Orchid Hotel but after 2 nights they asked us to move to the Capitol as they needed rooms close to the airport for other employees. We gladly agreed and were taken to the Capitol Hotel. When we arrived the staff there did not appear to be expecting us... more

I stayed in this hotel for two weeks in early August, and I do not think I will return. While the staff are well-meaning and hard-working, there are simply too many things wrong with the premises and the day-to-day running of this hotel. The first thing you notice when you walk in to your room is the musty, damp smell.... more
