Our 7 day package was booked by Jalam Singh from Delhi. We were in Ladakh from 5 to 11 August and we had a very comfortable and gratifying stay at Ladakh Sarai. They offer a lavish multi cuisine dinner which is very delicious indeed. There are not many choices in breakfast and lunch though. But whatever they do for their... More

We stayed here for a 7N-8D package. We had a complete range in terms of age - a 2 yr, old, 3 in 20s, a 57 yr. old & 67 yr. old. Handling the low oxygen was a bit difficult especially for the seniors, but have to say this here-Mr. Rigzin & his team were prompt in their services-whether it... More

My friends and I stayed at Ladakh Sarai for 2 nights in August. The experience was amazing and we definitely plan to stay there again. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and the staff is very helpful and polite. The Owner is very warm and always there for a chat! We had taken a package which included all meals. For set... More

We were on a walking trip and walked here from Leh. Although only 5 miles away, you feel as if you're in a different world, away from the noise, traffic and bustle of the city. We stayed in a chalet (more expensive than a yurt) and spent hours watching local farmers at work in the field next door. Comfortable rooms... More

The view from the accommodation is amazing. The yurts are comfortable, although the water takes a long time to heat up and a lot of water is wasted due to cracked pipes. The food is very nice and the staff are friendly. Their English is limited, but they are always happy to help. Our tour was very good. We had... More

It is a privilege from heaven to stay in Saboo Village at this warm and lovely place. Everything there is an invitation to enjoy peace and mindfulness. And the kindness of the people working there makes one feeling at home and protected. One can see that a deep philosophy of working in harmony is not just a concept, it is... More

I would definitely recommend Ladakh sarai to anyone going to Ladakh. We went there last October. We received the best hospitality. The staff is very courteous and really go out of the bounds to help you. Food is great with a new menu everyday. They even pack you lunches for your day trip. We loved the staff/ family there and... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Come live as nomads do!Perched above the raging Indus River and resting quietly below the massive Ladakh Range exists a peaceful green oasis - the serene grounds of the Ladakh Sarai. The Sarai is Ladakh's premier eco resort, a tribe of 16 yurt-style bungalows and 6 mud hut cottages nestled in a beautiful grove of willow, poplar, apricot and apple trees. The Sarai is situated comfortably apart from bustling Leh town, just a 10 minute (7 km.) scenic drive away through winding streets, quaint bazaars, and desert stretches. The Ladakh Sarai was created in 1978 by the British adventure travel pioneers, Tiger Mountain. We have maintained the rustic and unique feel of private, cozy yurts, while adding the comforts of attached baths. Each spacious yurt has 2 twin beds and a small sitting area. ... more   less
