A colleague and I booked into this hotel for a short business trip. It was much more expensive than the boutique hotels of Delhi, and was definitely not what one would expect of a place that markets itself as one of the best hotels in Srinagar. No aircon, dirty rooms and very poorly equipped; the plumbing in the bathrooms was prehistoric and the bed and furniture not at all comfortable. Customer service was largely non-existent, which is unbelievable in a region where the people are so friendly and hospitable. All in all, a rip off! more
