Recommended by one of my closest buddies. Still was a bit sceptic as we entered through the gate. Felt was trespassing on private property or someone's house by the lake. Was convinced though, in the next hour or so, that Dar-Es-Salam stay would be one of the most memorable stays of our lifetime. Hospitality & comfort is in the details.... More

While staying in Lalit Grand Place we went to see hote Dr e salam considering the good reviews they got on tripadvisor. To our surprise the main gate was locked and the staff told us the hotel is only open to people who are staying in the hotel We still wert inside and insisted on seeing the rooms which we... More

Am writing a dated review for a stay we did at this property in May 2014 during our maiden Kashmir visit. Must say that I was very glad that we stayed here, as this is a heritage hotel with traditional look-and-feel, offers a very pleasant stay, great quality food (whether it was breakfast, dinner or tea/snacks...), good garden for the... It is a quite property situated on the edge of the Nageen Lake. Beautiful sorroundings and well furnished quiet rooms. It is a little far from the Dal Lake area so for a tourist with a short stay it may not be ideal. But if you want to lounge around and enjoy your sorroundings and the beauty of Srinagar this... I had booked this hotel based on the reviews and most of what is said is true. The rooms are comfortable. Its an old house converted to a hotel but is well maintained. Take the rooms in their main building. They have a better view of the lake. Its a quaint and quiet property. You can relax in the gardens... More

Hotel dar es salaam is an house converted into a hotel. The dal lake view is great. And the people are attentive. Though parking is a problem at this place.food not much choice but average. Rooms are clean. Not much privacy.

The Dar-Es-Salam was a very welcome and necessary breath of fresh air after a long road trip down from the mountains - Srinagar was hot and dusty, and Dal lake was crowded, and Dar-Es-Salam was a real oasis in the midst of that. We were immediately welcomed to a lovely room with a beautiful view of the manicured gardens as... More

After Coming from All the destinations which included one of the best hotels at each place we ( couples with Kids ) spent a night at Dar Es Salam . My friend who was with us throughout the trip wasn't convinced about Dar Es Salam ( before we reached ) and wanted to checkin at Lalit as he always want... More

A beautiful property nect to the Nagin Lake, perhaps a residence converted into hotel is an amazing property. The rooms and the interiors are not modern and have a touch of old days.. but the garden outside, the Shikaras that you can board from the steps of the hotel and the service is out of this world. Dar es salam... More

We wondered whether we made the right choice to stay in a guesthouse not on the main Dal lake in Srinagar, but on the adjoining Nain lake, but when we got there we were absolutely thrilled! The guesthouse is beautiful, old kashmiri, every detail is perfect with the furnishings, the rooms, the lawn sweeping down to the edges of Nagin... More
