The first thing i noticed about the Brown palace was how every window had a beautiful view. While it was right on the main road it seemed like it was tucked away from all the noise and hustle-bustle. We were there from 4th Sept and were there till 2th Sept. While the hotel was affected by the floods from 6th... More

We were lucky enough to have the pleasure of staying at this beautiful n well managed hotel run by the Khanyari family, from 4th Sep 2014 to 12th Sep 2014. As we were drivin up from Gurgaon to Srinagar, on 4th Sep when the weather and flood situation worsened the Khanyaris kept in touch with us helping us with alternate... More

This hotel is located near the Dal lake but not on the main road facing the lace which is a blessing. You have good access to the lake but are saved from the noise on the main road. There is an excellent garden within the property which makes for good sitout in the morning. Staff and Service are Good and... More

Most hotels next to Dal Lake have shops under them which make them Noisy and I think unlivable, Brown Palace had a nice garden in front where our kids ran around - you can see Shankaracharya temple high up on the hill, the rooms were very spacious and well maintained, the breakfast and dinner was ok. The location was perfect... More

It means quietness and convenience. There are lots of restaurants around ,including Lhasa restaurant . If you get tired of curry flavor, Lhasa will save... More
