Although I had stayed in Fortune but was at hotel Hari niwas palace in Jammu to attend a marriage. I was in the hotel for two whole days and had seen many rooms. It is a heritage hotel with excellent location overlooking a river valley. Location may not be suitable if you are on a business trip. It is little... More

Overall this hotel wasn't bad, and a welcome sanctuary from the blazing heat outside, but its a bit tired round the edges. We stayed in June (exterior temperature 48 degress C!) The staff were very good, friendly and helpful, the location is amazing on the edge overlooking a river valley but the whole place was a bit shabby and worn.... More

We stayed in hotel Hari niwas palace in Jammu and only enjoyed the lovely views this hotel offers as besides the views it has nothing much to offer. Rooms are just functional, food and service are below par. Infact there is so much of scope for improvement that this can be one of the best hotel in town but the... More

Lovely locale, between Jammu and Nagrota. The grounds are extremely well laid out. Was there for a meal with friends and colleagues. Average food, average service, the cost of the meal was reasonable. The overall experience would have been better if the meal was worth it.

Hotel Hari Niwas Palace in Jammu has an amazing location overlooking wonderful views. We went for a meal as we had gone to see the museum. The food and service leaves much to be desired as both are below par. It is a perfect case of wonderful location wasted!

This property is part of the estate of the founding family for the state, ambassador to the U.S. etc to its pedigree. You expect good and its got an amazing location in Jammu. Beautiful simple, and elegant grounds. The meal was surprisingly very reasonably priced given the overall facility. The starting rates for rooms are also a pleasant surprise and... More

Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights on an official trip. The hotel is located outside the city away from the hustle bustle of Jammu - which on one hand gives a peaceful and lovely experience but at the same time may be a problem for those wanting to be closer to city centre. Thus the call is individual. Coming... More

Checked in Mar,2014 for two nights on official trip to Jammu. Although the first sight of the hotel gives you the feeling of ancient heritage building with modern infrastructure the services are not up to the mark. The entrance and reception was empty and had to wait for 5-7 minutes to get the room keys. Stay was comfortable. Food was... More

Jammu may not be a tourist must but has a few worthy points and this palace has a wondrous position high above the city and river but what missed opportunities The situation is spectacular and the outside fabulous with a quintessential moustachioed doorman, but what a disappointing interior; the reception staff were out of their depth, the rooms large and... It's a Nice place to spend a few days away from hustle and bustle of life. One can enjoy the good food , sitting in the garden of the restaurant, along with scenic view of Tawi River and Jammu. It is a bit costly but indeed its worth the price.
