Stayed in the hotel for 3 nights on an official trip. The hotel is located outside the city away from the hustle bustle of Jammu - which on one hand gives a peaceful and lovely experience but at the same time may be a problem for those wanting to be closer to city centre. Thus the call is individual. Coming... More

Checked in Mar,2014 for two nights on official trip to Jammu. Although the first sight of the hotel gives you the feeling of ancient heritage building with modern infrastructure the services are not up to the mark. The entrance and reception was empty and had to wait for 5-7 minutes to get the room keys. Stay was comfortable. Food was... More

Jammu may not be a tourist must but has a few worthy points and this palace has a wondrous position high above the city and river but what missed opportunities The situation is spectacular and the outside fabulous with a quintessential moustachioed doorman, but what a disappointing interior; the reception staff were out of their depth, the rooms large and... It's a Nice place to spend a few days away from hustle and bustle of life. One can enjoy the good food , sitting in the garden of the restaurant, along with scenic view of Tawi River and Jammu. It is a bit costly but indeed its worth the price.

Very well-maintained property, with good, not great views. Food was good. And the lawn is out of the world. The adjoining museum is also worth a visit. The staff is helpful and friendly. Would recommend the fried ice cream!

this hotel is all about experience. Has a big area, decent rooms good food and more over it itself is one of the tourist sight seeing spots. The museum is right next door in the same campus. I would recommend people to stay here not because the service is good or rooms are exceptional but only the feel of the... More

We stayed in this former palace of the Maharaja of kashmir Hari singh in jammu. Location of the palace is just outstanding with breathtaking views of the valley. Besides the location rooms, food and service are very average. The hotel requires better management as it has a lot of potential. We would still recommend it for a grandeur and the... More

Looking at the hotel from outside - it shows great promise. The hotel which was at one time a palace - still has a museum of the Erstwhile royal family (the current owners). It has beautiful lawns with lovely views of the mountains and the river (which was almost dry when I visited).. The rooms have a very tired look.... More

The best thing about Hari Niwas Palace is its location. The scenic view of river Tawi and open vast view from the excellently maintained lawns is very refreshing. Good delicious meais of a good variety is served by courteous staff. Reasonably priced you don't mind repeating the visit.

Words are falling short to describe hospitality, quality of food and over all the scenic beauty. Breath taking lush green lawns and real pollution free air to inhale and no noise pollution. Proximity from Rail Head/ Airport is convenient. Staff is quite helpful to make arrangements for local sight seeing.
