Been there for just a day..... And believe me, what a pathetic experience. Some of the things i want to highlight are 1. Scenic views are great.Their evening restaurant is also nice. 2. Staff needs more training. They have opened my room when i was out of the room for breakfast and they were repairing the lock. They kept on... More

The hotel is quite nice and reflects the upper price positionning. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Rooms are perfectly clean. Location is not too far from the city (15 minutes by taxi, 100 rps) Our main disapointment regards the restaurant, which is expensive for the quality of the food. Furthermore, they apply a discount at lunch time. However,... More

I stayed at the Hari Nivas Palace last month after going to Vaishno Devi shrine. It is a beautiful palace with a great view of the Tawi river and the Trikuta hills. Built by the last King of Jammu and Kashmir, Hari Singh, it is the best place to stay in Jammu. Far from the crazy town. Rooms were large... More

Everything you would expect out of a heritage hotel and more. Beautiful landscaped gardens. Big comfortable rooms and bathrooms and polite friendly staff. Would love to try the Maharaja suite the next time which is reasonably priced for what it offers. Being a heritage property there aren't any elevators as expected and you have to climb a couple of flights... More

An out of the world experience in this heritage property. We hosted two get together functions here and an accommodation of almost 50 people. Courteous staff, very well maintained rooms, ecstatic landscapes and amazingly maintained decor...a 10 on 10 experience with The Hari Niwas. Special thanks to Mr Sanjay Batarka who left no stone unturned and went out of his... More

Beautiful landscape, an old palatial property with lush green gardens and a delightful view to offer. Am told that this property belongs to the king and is now converted to a hotel. There is an interesting museum next to the hotel block ( I didn't get a chance to visit there) . The lawns and hotel rooms offer a fantastic... More

This is my second time in Hari Niwas and yet again I was left disappointed. This time my room had all kinds of insects crawling on my bed and the floor. The toilet looked dirty with an awful smell. However, I wish to point out a very disturbing experience. The day of my check-out, which is at 12pm, I invited... More

We stayed in the Maharaja Suite with an astounding view of the garden and the river. The hotel staff was simply brilliant defining hospitality in the best possible way. The dinner lay out in the rear garden of the palace with live music and singing was truly memorable. The breakfast spread could have been better. With no eggs to order... More

Hotel is best located on the bank of River Tavi!! Heritage property with royal treatment with guest! Food is just awesome, try Nadru Yakhni or Wazawan both are best! Rooms are good, service is excellent. What I like most about this hotel is view of sun set!!
