Manali isn't much of a place in IMHO - too many hippy wannabes and too much Marijuana growing by the roadside - but Banon resorts is great. The garden is lovely - full of birds and lots of hummingbird hawkmoths around a profusion of flowers. The view of the forests around Manali is good. The rooms are comfortable - easily... More

The Banon Resorts in Manali is a comfortable hotel with a beautiful garden. We were shown both a cottage and a standard room, but decided to go with the standard room because the shower looked better/newer. We enjoyed our two night stay at the hotel. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom is clean with an excellent rain... More

We traveled from Bangalore, (May 20 - 22) a family of 2 adults and 2 children from Make my Trip, and this was the only property that was decent and good where we were put up for 3 nights. The rooms were large and we had a big suite, one master bedroom for the adults and a smaller room for... More

Nice Hotel Friendly Staff & Management, there were some last minutes changes in my travel plan and they accommodated it and even refunded the amount for a day though they could have stick to their refund policy and said "NO". Overall a good experience.

Rooms here are enormous with separate sitting room and a good sized bathroom. As mentioned by others the heating is provided by heat pillars and hot water is only available at certain times. We went in between season and the place was nearly empty and unfortunately thats how reception felt, empty and cold. Fabulous views of Himalayas Restaurant also cold... More

I was going there after almost 30-odd years! The old Banon Lodge was run by two brothers... sadly they are no longer with us I was told. Next to the old Lodge, the offspring of the brothers have built Banon Resort. Maintaining the traditional architecture of Kullu lodgings, it has a pleasing look. The rooms are super deluxe. The one... More

Two families travelling with 3 children above 16. 3 overnights in peak snowy winter. Lovely view from the balcony, clean comfy rooms the only problem being lack of central air conditioning. We had heat pillar running 24 hours and they gave us an additional electric blanket. Manali town sadly has very few centrally air conditioned stays. Hot water again runs... More
