After a long journey we wanted a really nice room in Old Manali (in New Manali you have really expensive and fancy resorts), and the Veer offered us a very nice room, with the best view ever, all new and super clean. The owner and the staff (mainly Akilesh) speak very good English and helped us bot practically and also... More

This place is great value, our large fan room was 500rp per night. Two big windows with good bug screens, hot shower, clean sheets, comfortable bed, shared verandah, large garden area, nice staff, and a decent bathoom. The only downsides were that with wooden floors, it was really noisy at times from the people above us walking around. Also the... More

We paid 300 for a non attached room with wooden floors and clean bed linen. The location is excellent though the annexe block is a little close to the pumping trance / crap 'ethno' music of a nearby restaurant. Staff are comically lazy and don't seem to give a damn, we didn't even check in and when we went to... More

We were a group of 5 friends and we stayed all together in a really nice cottage. I recommend to families or groups of friends to take the cottage instead of a normal room : it's much nicer, the view is stunning and the price is almost the same (500 rupies per person approximately, maybe more during the full season).... We rent a 6 persons apartment there, it was really nice to stay here. The guest house is good located and offers a beautiful view with large window on the mountains. The flat was sunny. Everything was cleaned. The owner is very helpful and try to make you well at ease. I advise you to stay there if you want... More

Cheap, pleasant room, good location, and lovely open courtyard made this place a pleasure to stay at. However, the wooden floors in the building we stayed in were very noisy (there was no ceiling to insulate noise) and an early departure by a group of people in the room above us was very intrusive. As such, I'd recommend staying on... More

We arrived early in the morning and picked the Old Manali area to stay. As it is recommended by The Lonely Planet, we decided to try this guest house. There are 3 types of double bed rooms and the price of the room recommended is smelly and poor. So, we picked the RS800. Difference is brighter and cleaner. Overall, the... More

We looked at a whole bunch of places in old manali and this seemed the best for the area. Good food, plentiful downstairs, hot water, clean, and a good bathroom. Very light and bright room. Friendly, helpful staff. They've also got an awesome two bed studio if you're willing to splash to cash.

Veer GH offers some nice rooms in a very fair price. The hotel is located in old Manali in a peaceful yet central place. Many nice coffee shops and restaurants are only 5 minutes walk away. The staff is very helpful and courteous and willing to help on any issue. Note that there are few travel agencies around the place... More

After the excruciating 20 hour ride between Leh and Manali, we just wanted to find a good place to rest in old Manali and unfortunately, this place was one of the first places we saw which had rooms available, and we were too exhausted to look further. This was more like a large, impersonal hotel than a guest house. The... More
