One of the friendliest campgrounds we've encountered on our travels! So accommodating! Park undergoing renovations/upgrades. It's conveniently located near a zoo, space history museum, model train museum, and only 20 min to White Sands National Monument. Free wifi was okay at site and really good in recreation room. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for one night at the Roadrunner Campground which is now a KOA. Arriving from Phoenix we were just on time before the office closed at 8PM. Everything was prepared and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The spot, shower and laundry were clean and everything worked well, incl. WiFi etc. The size of the spot was ok... More

We recently stayed here for three nights and were very pleased with the campground. Apparently it was quite run down when the new owners bought it but by all accounts they have done a lot of work! Our sight was not huge but plenty big enough for us (we were in our 35 ft fifth wheel). There were lots of... More

We stayed the a week and were very pleased with this newly designated KOA. The owners are probably the best part about it as they are friendly and informative and are working hard at making this campground a destination. It was quiet and peaceful during our visit. Everything at the site worked fine for us including water pressure, electric and... More

We were traveling to Alamogordo hoping to stay at KOA, formerly Roadrunner Campground. We assumed because it was a KOA now it'd be decent. I realize they're in transition, however, the sites were very, very small and on top of one another. The dog walking area was a small gated enclosure the size of a small bathroom. The pool had... This park displays signs that it is now under new management. It has become a KOA and you can tell that they are trying to upgrade, neaten and bring this park online with KOA standards. The spots, though close, have brick wall dividers allowing you some privacy, and the park was clean. The main lodge has a laundry that was... More

Please remember this review is for July and we were in a tent. I am certain your experience will be much different if you are not in a tent, or it is not the middle of summer when perhaps no one else is tent camping. We were on a month long trip tent camping through the Rocky Mountains between Yellowstone... More
