We stayed here on two occasions, one night on our way to Havelock and two nights before our flight back to the mainland. Friendly manager, good location, ok rooms (we had room 111 with a/c) although mind you, the bathrooms have no ventilation which is a recipe for mold in the long run. We did find the odd cockroach in... More

Nirman (the manager) speaks brilliant English and more importantly knows the andaman islands inside out. The staff are lovely. Rooms are good value for money. And the icing on the cake is the rooftop area, the ambience of the place is perfect to chill out and meet fellow minded people from all over the planet!

I stayed there a few nights on my way to and back from Havelock. The staff is friendly and Nirman was very helpfull in giving advices and informations on what to do in Port Blair and Havelock, how to get sorted with tickets or to arrange pick ups and drop offs. The restaurant is very nice to chill and it... More

I stayed here for 2 nights during our transit to havelock. The rooms are small but clean. Restaurant on the Roof serves good food and one can relax with the wonderful sea view and music being played on the background. Wifi works fine unless there are not may users somehow its not free. The staffs were helpul and friendly.

We headed here as the place was highly recommended in Lonely Planet. Not for the first time they were well off the mark in India. Firstly, the room was double the price as stated in LP's most recent edition. We took a fan room, the sheets had quite clearly not been cleaned, they had stains on them and smelt of... More

We read great reviews, so booked a night and referred to friends. Bad call. Wi-fi was sketchy, but they made us pay for it anyways. There was a "working" fan in the room, which somehow didn't seem to be creating any air flow; other guests said the same thing. I guess this creates business in the restaurant because nobody can... During my month in the Andaman Islands I passed through Port Blair a couple of times and always stayed at Lalaji. Everybody I met in the more remote places turned up there sooner or later, so it is definitely a good place to meet people and catch up with old travel acquaintances. The rooftop bar/restaurant is a great place to... More

If you are travelling with intention of spending on Travel alone and not on luxury then this is a great place to be in Port Blair. Rooms are little small as told earlier by people but there is no lack of good intention in what they provide here. The roof top restaurant and Wifi is something travelers can look forward... More

This guest house is clean with smallish but quite comfortable rooms. Attached bathrooms are large enough without the lingering smell of damp that you get in some places. Also no peeling paint on the walls. The rooms that I took on both occasions passing through PB had a large storage unit for bags and a body length mirror on the... More
