Second visit to Gambia, and couldn't fault our stay here. The staff were all so friendly & wanted to make your holiday enjoyable! A smaller hotel and only a 5 minute walk from the beach & the main strip where there are lots of restaurants & bars. We had meals in the hotel several times in the evenings and good... More

Should of been staying at the Bamboo Gardens,a lovely hotel I stayed at last year.Upon arrival was told that it had been closed and we would be staying at its sister counterpart The Seaview. What an absolute abomination this turned out to be,the hotel resembled a building site and was very noisy. Our rooms were grubby and totally underwhelming,at this point we... As a seasoned visitor to Gambia for the last 20 years I have been accustomed to highs and lows and always expect the unexpected but Seaview Gardens certainly was a new low. My 2 friends and I had booked into a lovely hotel called Bamboo Gardens which we stayed at last year but upon arrival on 1st Dec this year,... More

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel for my first visit in The Gambia (and Africa). As I must admit I was a little worried as what to expect. But let me emphasise that there is NO Ebola here! The hotel was very clean and the staff were the friendliest people I've ever met. The accommodation was great, we... More

I found this hotel to be fairly basic. It did not have a fridge so was unable to store a few beers. the bar had happy hour that normaly lasted 2 hours. Breakfast was very basic Toast and omlette most times. The rooms were clean but again fairly basic. Hot water worked when they powere was turned back on and... More

stayed here for the 3rd time in March, staff are extremely friendly and will do just about anything for you.The hotel is small compared to other hotels in the area, but this is a good thing in this case as all the staff get to know you and will help you.The food at breakfast is nice but after a few days the... We stayed here in March 2014. When we arrived the hotel staff seemed surprised to see us and I don't think they were expecting us, but then again I think there was a typical Gambian power cut when we got there, so their PC's weren't working. We were given room 18 which is on the top floor and a member... More

We spent 10 nights here over Easter 2014 - I have previously been to this hotel but about 8/9 years ago - it has changed a bit but not much they dont do things quickly in the Gambia! To be honest its up there with a better hotel for that area and is situated about 10 mins walk to beach... More

We spent a good 14 nights at the Seaview Gardens Hotel & thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Admittedly the electricity was a little temperamental but hey, this is West Africa after all and what's wrong with roughing it occasionally? Go anywhere on this planet and one generally gets what one pays for. In my opinion, we got more for our money than... More

Checked in on 22 March 2014 for a 2 week stay. A smallish hotel located on a narrow rectangular site behind the Total Garage off the Highway about mid-way between Senegambia Strip/Palma Rima (opposite the Village shopping complex). About ten minutes stroll to restaurants/bars on the Strip, and 5 minutes to the Beach (right out of hotel and then left... More
