Senegambia Beach Hotel – wow, just go there. The grounds are fantastic. Palm trees, umpteen other species of trees, lots of grounds. Monkeys turn up most mornings, making their way across the roofs into the hotel grounds while you’re sat eating your breakfast al fresco (you can eat indoors if you want). They don’t come down & cause problems, they... more

I have just returmed from 2 weeks in Gambia with my boyfriend and 4 other friends and I had a great time. I couldn't really fault the hotel. The staff were friendly, the pool was lovely, the rooms were basic but clean, could have done with an extra pillow though! We were bed and breakfast and thought there was plenty... more

We stayed at the Senegambia Beach Hotel for one week at the end of November 09 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The apartments are situated in extensive excellently maintained... more

Just returned from the Senegambia, after visiting for the first time in February. We were not disappointed again. Although this was only our 2nd vist we were surprised how may of the staff remembered us from our first visit - considering the number of visitors they must have. Room maid, waiters, beach staff etc all said it was nice to... more

I am a regular traveller to The Gambia and absolutely love the country and the people, however was so disappointed with The Senegambia Beach Hotel. As a lone female traveller you expect some attention from local men but some of the male staff were unbearable. I had a ring stolen from my room and had to ask numerous times for... more

In case you don't want to read the essay below - in a nutshull loved the hotel. It's 2*, so don't expect a 5*. The people & the grounds are just fantastic. The food & drinks also really good.
