Bright, modern and clean the hotel offered fantastic value for money in a great location just a short walk from the beach and a selection of bars and restaurants. Great base for relaxing by the pool and for exploring The Gambia on various excurions (I would highly recommend the Truck Safari!). Very friendly staff. Would return.

Stayed at the Palma Rima in Febuary 2015. We got a very good deal. The hotel is very basic think pontins and the food was very limited in choice. Bathroom was very run down. Staff were lovely almost to friendly. The beach is only a couple of minutes walk away. Kololi is a fantastic destination for some winter sun but... More

Stayed at the Palma Rima January 2015. We paid £400 for the week which included transfers and bagage. As we had only paid budget prices we did not expect too much from the hotel. The pool is lovely with plenty of sunbeds. The pool bar always had friendly helpful staff. Drinks were given in glasses and not plastic cups as... More

On arrival our first impression was not great but once settled in we began to see things differently. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The pool is the biggest in The Gambia. The chalets are basic but comfortable and it's these that you should go for as opposed to a room in the block. The dining room is... More

Great value for money, but a stay in the bungalows or newly built rooms is recommended. Avoid the three storey block at the side of the pool. Hearty breakfast. Reasonably priced evening meal if you want to stay in but I strongly recommend travelling a short way to the local restaurants. Bar at the entrance shows football and is a... More

Stayed at palma rima at end of March, far better than we had expected, staff are fantastic, bungalows are great, clean, spacious, and quiet, best time to get hot water is mid afternoon. All inclusive food is OK, more than adequate, but don't have any concerns about going B&B some really fantastic, inexpensive places to eat and drink within a... More

Food good and chef will make something for u if needed. Staff friendly apart from reception manager very rude ( to his own people and guests ) entertainment good. Thomas Cook charge a rip off price for tours and u are perfectly safe to go with local green taxi outside much much cheaper. If u want a guide ask any... More

It was our first visit to The Gambia, and we will definitely be returning to the Palm Riva. We stayed in one of the bungalows, which are very spacious, the furniture is a bit dated, but who cares, the one bad point about our room was that it had dark wood cladding on the ceiling which did make the room...
