Just returned for 2 weeks staying at Palma Rima. After reading some reviews was not sure what to expect but have got to say could not fault anything. It is our fourth time in Gambia but the first time we have stayed here. We were in Room 317, top floor overlooking the pool. The room was cleaned daily and we... More

Just returned from Palma Rima and like alot of people was very sceptical after reading other reviews. I like to keep an open mind when travelling to places outside the eu - we had nothing to worry about! Check in was very quick and we were taken to our bungalow which are a good size. Rooms are basic but do... More

The Palma Rima is absolutely fine if you are using this just as a base for exploring the area. Any more than that and I think you would be disappointed. The staff are very friendly and helpful - unfortunately the hotel is looking worn and tired and I blame that on the tour companies who are obviously screwing as much... More

We were a party of 6 'adults' who visited Palma Rima Hotel for 2 weeks middle of March. We had such an amazing time and were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The food, whilst being basic was perfectly adequate and we certainly did not go hungry. The entertainment was not particularly to our taste but as... More

Me and my better half have just returned from 7 nights here. We stayed from the 20th March until the 27th March 2014. The hotel is very basic, well TIA (This is Africa) Most of the holiday cost will go on the flights and not a lot will go to the hotel for your stay. It is the only hotel... More
