If you come across the bouncer David that works there, steer well clear, not only is he an artful and artculated charmer he is a triple timing bumpster who I nearly married before I found out about his relationships and I shudder to think of the money I had spent on hm. Apart from that, the hotel and food are... More

Been to this hotel more times than I can remember. Although some would find it basic a trip is what you make of it Make friends with the staff and the people outside of the hotel, there's no point in going if you plan to shy away in the hotel. All in all going to Gambia was the most life... More

My family stayed her in April 2014. We are beach people and it was perfect. We were couple of steps away from the a Atlantic Ocean. The free breakfast on site was great for us because the hotel location was a little hidden away from main road. The staff was very accumulating.

Lovely stay here with warm welcoming staff. There are a few restaurants within the enclosure which brings some more privacy. (better still the first one into the entrance serves coffee!!) Decor dated but very clean and good value.

My daughter and I returned from a fantastic 2 week holiday, on 23/4/14. Please go with an open mind, you are in Africa!! The Hotel is dated, but is clean and the staff are so friendly!! Infact, the Gambian people can teach us a valuable lesson, they have very little but they are always smiling and take nothing for granted!!... More

Stayed here again for 2 weeks, was as good as the first time. Came BnB this time which was better and cheaper. The local food is lovely wherever you go. Spent one day round the pool, great pool and atmosphere but, I prefer the beach. Breakfast was the same pretty much each day but very good. Drinks are same price... More

Just got back from the Palma Rima on 28th April, the hotel is basic, but clean, clean towels daily and bedding changed twice a week, the bungalows are huge and the food is simple but edible most of the time, the food and drinks outside the hotel are cheap and the fish at Solomans on the beach is fab. The... More

Stayed here a few yrs back and only just joined trip advisor. Luckily we stayed in one of the bungalows which were ok, very basic. Our friends had the cell block where u couldn't swing a cat so we were pleased with the bungalow :) The breakfast was shocking!!!! Staff always seemed friendly. The bumpsters where an absolute nightmare in... More

Just returned for 2 weeks staying at Palma Rima. After reading some reviews was not sure what to expect but have got to say could not fault anything. It is our fourth time in Gambia but the first time we have stayed here. We were in Room 317, top floor overlooking the pool. The room was cleaned daily and we... More
