We read some awful things about this hotel before we left but didn't need to be worried. Received a free upgrade on arrival due to the hotel being quiet as it was end of season. We were in A2 (apartment instead of room). Bed was huge and comfy, room was cleaned everyday and we used the fridge and aircon. The... More

We booked our holiday with Thomas Cook. On arrival first impressions were great, the lady that was head of security showed us to our room and showed us how everything worked. We stayed in room 405, we had previously read reviews that these rooms were horrible and you'd need to upgrade rooms but initially everything was good. We asked for... More

We booked a package with Thomas Cook, then contacted the hotel directly to arrange upgrade to a suite, which all worked very smoothly. The room itself was very good (not really a suite by European standards, but you are in the Gambia!), and we particularly enjoyed the balcony looking out over the hotel gardens and down to the beach, and... I have travelled the world and was not expecting first class accommodation but I would never recommend this hotel. Its cheap for a reason. My first impression of the hotel was of a very rude receptionist. She had no clue on what she was doing and the few occasions we had to speak with her she would at first ignore... More

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too big of an ask for them. They showed us round several rooms and allowed us to pick whichever one we wanted to stay in! We decided we wanted the furniture from one room but we liked the view better in another room so they arranged to have furniture brought up to... More

Have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Djeliba Hotel in Kololi which is a ten minute stroll from from Senegambia with its many bars and restaurants. The beach is a five minute stroll. The hotel has a lovely family feel to it with staff who cannot do enough to help. The rooms are basic but clean and it... More

We spent the first week in March at Djeliba and had a lovely time. Room was basic but clean and towels changed daily. All rooms have fans which we found enough and did not purchase the air con. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice, the pool area is lovely and was not over crowded at all. Poco Loco bar... More

The hotel itself is ok just ab out a 3 star, clean daily and tidy if you are in the main part of the hotel not so much inthe 400 a bit like a Butlins chalet from the 70,s. The bar staff were very attentive and liked to speak. Room dark due to energy bulbs and brown wardrobes, breakfast was terrible... More
