This hotel is not very commercial. It is small. It is not luxurious but it was the best vacation ever! We had an over water bungalow and the location overlooked the bay and the mountains and the ocean. It was so awesome i would move there. And, no matter how much money i had...i would stay here again! There were... More

2 couples stayed in a 2 bedroom OWB after a cruise. There is,nothing NOT to like about this place. Friday night was a great folklore show, don't miss it. The views are awesome, the staff TOP notch plus, food great and reasonably priced and easy accessibility to markets and nearby restaurants. The kitchen is completely furnished, so we stocked up... The view on Cooks Bay was exceptional, but the hotel/timeshare exchange was extremely disappointing. Our exchange from Mexico puts this property at a 1 or 2 (poor) on a scale of 1 to 5. We stayed here after a cruise. The kitchenette garden view room was relatively clean but rooms have old bedding and old mattresses. The staff was very... More

Thanks very much for your comments. We have completed a complete renovation of our overwater bungalows and are now renovating the family beachfront bungalows as well We will continue with the specials throughout the year. The restaurant on the bay has the most competitive price schedules on moorea. The drop in the usdollar can distort comparisons for the traveler. I... More

I was pleasantly surprised with club Bali Hai! With its 3 1/2 rating I didn't expect much but I have had some a great time here. The people that run the front desk are lovely and we have met some great new friends. I would come back again. I wish that we had our RCI week here! Thank you

Our first time in Moorea and we stayed in an over water bungalow. It's spectacular! Sharks (safe sharks...didn't know there were such a thing) swimming off our deck. Beautiful view of the bay. Staff are so nice and helpful. It's not a high end hotel but all the needs are there for a great getaway. Clean, nice loved it!

We chose to stay at the Club Bali Hai on Moorea after coming off a cruise. We wanted to stay a few extra days in French Polynesia and everything we had read said that Moorea was much better for tourists than Tahiti. We wanted to experience being over the water but didn’t want the $900 to $1200 that some of... More

If you are someone looking to get away to a place that resembles heaven on earth - then you are destined to travel as we did to French Polynesia. If you want to escape reality and spend the rest of your life paying for it go to one of the high-end hotels available in French Polynesia and you will escape... More

If you want to pay thousands of dallars and have a view of the ocean only, you can go ahead and pick one of the ritzy newer resorts around the corner. But if you want a fabulous view of the beautiful volcanic mountains, along with the ocean, then Bali Hai is your place. Very charming staff. Very accomodating. This is... More

If you like to experience the Polynesian lifestyle, this is the place to be. Friendly staff, native style bungalows and a beautiful setting make for a relaxing and interesting stay. If you want an antiseptic upscale destination resort this is not the place for you. Club Bali Hai is more like what you would have found in Tahiti 40 years... More

2 week stay 11/23/13-12/7/13 There are pro’s and con’s to staying at the Club Bali Hai (CBH). I will do my best to give an accurate account in my review. This was our second time to Moorea and first stay at CBH. We loved our trip to the island 16 years ago so much we decided to come back. Prior... More
