Wow - what a hidden gem! This is not the faux New Mexico of Santa Fe, etc. - this is the real thing, right on the Chama River, with a working vineyard. Spectacular views from the room. And those rooms! We chose La Jardin, but Pedernal would have been equally fine. Meticulously appointed without being fussy. Impeccable design, highest quality... More

So lovely to get off the beaten path and stay a few nights in this peaceful setting amidst a vineyard. Only two casitas, but they are comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the rear courts are sectioned off by an adobe wall. The grounds are well maintained and the property is large enough to enjoy a stroll along the Chama river... More

We booked Las Parras for one night so that we could be close to hiking in Ghost Ranch. We read the reviews but were still afraid that "cozy" might mean "slightly shabby." It was definitely the best night of our New Mexico stay! We enjoyed a roaring evening fire in the room and watched the sun rise over the mesa... More

My wife and I just drove home from a few nights at Las Parras de Abiquiu. I'm munching on the giant bag of grapes that Stan gave me after walking us through the vineyard. It's the end of grape harvest, and the week before the Abiquiu Art Tour. Stan is up to his elbows running his small crew of pickers,... More

We booked Las Parras for two nights in December 2012, ended up staying four and would have stayed even longer if schedule permitted. This place epitomizes the special appeal of Abiquiu. In December we had it all to ourselves, making it all the more private and peaceful. The setting in a vineyard near a river, the starry night skies, the... More

If you are looking for a romantic, get-away-from-it-all, retreat with your loved one, this is the place for you. Out in the country, with a beautiful garden and courtyard, you can really unwind. Our room included a fireplace, a king-sized bed, and a scented candle by the bathtub. There is a hot tub available in the courtyard. The friendly couple... More

We stayed 5 nights here and ended up coming back for a 6th night in the beautiful, secluded b&b set in a vineyard surounded by mountains from Georgia O'Keefe's paintings. The owners made us feel so welcome, offering us advice on where to go, to where to eat, to the treats left in the room each afternoon. The room was... More

Beautiful gardens, lovely conversational innkeepers, elegant night tray of fruits and nuts and chocolate, immaculate rooms, upscale art and furniture, spacious rooms, quiet setting along the Chama River...this is a true oasis in Northern New Mexico! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Abiquiu and it's even worth the drive to tour Santa Fe yet stay here.

Visted the vineyard and toured the room during the recent Abiquiu Festival held on the property. We did not stay overnight. We would not normally book in such a small establishment but given the limited number of quality rooms in the area Las Parras de Abiquiu comes out on top. If we return to this part of New Mexico we... More

After playing tourist in Santa Fe, with it's hundreds of hotels, restaurants, shops, galleries and museums, including the fabulous Georgia O'Keeffe Museum, we were ready for some serious R&R up in Abiquiu. Before we left NJ, (a month ahead) we booked tours of both Ghost Ranch and Georgia O'Keeffe's home and studio, knowing we would want to immerse ourselves iin... More
