we were handed a key to our casita on a wood carved bird, the perfect touch! we really enjoyed the stay at abiquiu inn this month. the casita was divine, warm and quiet. a cozy wood burning stove with loads of fire wood keep the whole place warm for hours in the evening. large windows in the front rooms allowed... Stayed here one night after touring the Georgia Okeefe home, before driving to Chama. Room was tastefully decorated, with back door leading to a charming little patio with fountain where we sat before dinner with our wine and snacks. We purchased the wine at the nearby general store, Bodes, as the inn does not serve alcohol. There is really no... More

I recently spent one night at the Abiquiu Inn while hiking in the Ghost Ranch area with a small group. The Abiquiu Inn offers 25 casitas and rooms that come in a variety of styles and prices -see their web site for descriptions of all. I was in one of the 6 recently opened Red Mesa Suites, number 22 to... More

This was by far the most extraordinary hotel I have ever experienced. The room was not only well prepared, but the layout of the room, location and view were beyond words. Having never heard of Abiquiu prior to this meeting, I was astounded at the quality of staff as well as the scenery. The only disappointment was that the advertised... More

Had to write this as other reviews were unfair to a place my husband and I loved, although we are usually 4 star travelers. Our casita was cool, spacious and surrounded by flowers and hummingbirds. We took responsibility to book our own visit to the O'Keefe home. Everything went smoothly. The cafe at the Inn has decent inexpensive food, and... More

In March we reserved at Abiquiu Inn so we could visit Georgia OKeefe's home. The manager assured us we could arrange a tour the day we arrived with the OKeefe foundation next door. When we tried to book the tour we were told they were booked months in advance. We talked to the tour operator and the inn managers. The... More

We came to Abiquiu out of necessity & where pleasantly surprised to find such a sweet hotel in such a remote spot. One would not expect to find a comfortable place to rest your head out there, with a great restaurant to boot. It all seemed to be quite new, at least the area we stayed in; dirt roads leading... The property is nice and the grounds attractive, but be careful of the toilets. We arrived in the afternoon and used the commode once and it plugged. Maintenance arrived promptly and worked for 20 minutes solving the problem....some guest(s) had tossed bars of soap in the commode, flushed it and it blocked the line......or so they say....because...tThe next morning the... What an unexpected jewel to find along our travels. Our room was gorgeous, spacious, well-appointed. Very 5 star-ish in details. Location was great for such a beautiful area. Cannot wait to go back and explore the area more and return to the Abiquiu Inn. Don't miss the Purple Adobe Lavender Farm up the road!

The past three days we enjoyed the Abiquiu Inn more than any of our previous stays in the Santa Fe area. We were greeted at the front door by the manager (Dede) with a glass of fresh lemonade. She made us feel at home with a tour of the dining area, wonderful gallery and gift shop, then a beautiful walk... More
