I initially inquired about our stay at this resort a month before our arrival, and exchanged communications with Warren, the owner of the resort. The purpose of our stay at this resort was for no other reason than to dive the Blight Waters and the Vatu-I-Ra passage. In his first reply to my inquiry, Warren wrote: "The Bligh Waters and... More

I read the comments before i write this post…seems Safari Lodge didn't make any improvement… 1) 50FJD for transfer is too expensive for a 15 minutes boat ride. furthermore they don't take our request into account. We were asked to take the 10am boat transfer cause they tried to reduce their cost and let us joined the transfer with kite... More

I went with a kite surfer but enjoy fishing, snorkelling and waterskiing, the other side of the island is beautiful and only 50 metres away with a myriad of colourful fish and nice coral. It is also sheltered from the wind with a lovely bay to watch sunsets. There are two places to stay, MacDonalds and Bethams, both have self... More

Just back from Safari Lodge and wish I was still there. I really liked the atmosphere and sitting down at the communal table for meals was great for conversation and the friendly vibe. The Staff were happy to cater for my diet weirdness, and the food was plenty enough and tasty enough for me. I choose the dorm package and... More

You may be paying dramatically 4-5x more by booking ahead and paying the published weekly inclusive rate in AU$ than your on-spec dorm-mates, who stay for as little as FJD$20-30 per night - this was in late June-early July. Local consolidators (supplied by Safari Lodge availability) on-sell backpacker accommodation packages as cheap as FJD$250 for five nights including return transfers... More

The wind was great, but that's about the only good thing. As far as kitesurfing there was no real flat water or surf, just ocean chop, lots of space in the water but a coconut palm lined coast so you have to rely on the organized boat supported downwinders unless you can launch and land in the water. The Beach... More

Firstly the facilities: Whatever watersport you are into is catered for. The equipment is in excellent condition, I don't know if that's because it's brand new or so well looked after but I was impressed. I did the scuba diving here and if confidence is gained from equipment then this place exudes it. Equipment rental was a little pricy for... More

First thing that must be said...Warren the owner is a great guy who can't do enough for his guests. I was blown away by all the activities, kite Surfing, Kayaks, Standup boards, Scuba diving and snorkelling even water skiing was available if we wanted it. The rooms, lets face it, are very basic even the more expensive beach front bungalows.... More

We had last stayed here when we first visited RakiRaki over 8 years ago when we also met Warren ( though he now always prefers guests to call him "Wazza" or "Wazman" because of his night shows (lol) )who has really developed the sites impressive accommodation and activities with more plans underway. We stayed in the self contained ocean view,... More
