We had a great relaxing time. Awesome, close reef wall just off the beach for great snorkeling. Clean facilities and friendly staff. We did an ocean swim every day and hiked and explored near by resorts. Lots to do and the island itself is huge.

We had a most delightful stay (2 teenage kids ,2 adults ) on this tiny island in these basic but functional beach cottages! We were the only guests and welcomed the 5-9:30pm power time ( no wifi! ) playing board games and swimming Etc ( bring games and snorkel gear as there isn't any there). Lovely and friendly folk and... More

Had 4 nights at MacDonalds. Stayed in a cottage right on the beach. Simple but clean and comfortable. We took supplies for breakfast and lunch, but bought our dinner. The dinners were delicious and the portions are generous. Breakfast and lunch are also available. We were looked after by Filo who was just beautiful and the owner Maxine was very... More

We’re spent several long weekends at in the last 4 years and always really enjoyed the whole experience of being in such a beautiful place as Nananu-i-ra with lovely and friendly staff. Maxine and Filo love interacting with everyone every morning and evening to make sure we all have everything we need to enjoy our experience. The cozy bungalows are... More

If you want a place to stay where you can be almost the only person on the beach but you don't want to pay a fortune for it then this is it. The cottages are basic and self catering or you can eat at the little restaurant on the sand. Power is from a generator that goes off a night.... More

I had a great experience at MacDonalds. I planned to spend two days there but ended up deciding to stay an extra night with my friends. I found the staff very help helpful and accommodating. Maxine even helped me get to my next destination (big thank you!). There is the availability to make your own meals or to be catered... More

We went once and that was enough. The showers were blocked on the first morning and the toilet sewage came up. Also although the rooms are advertised as suitable for five there is no proper ceiling in the rooms so there is absolutely no privacy. You can find better places on Nananu ira. The management think I have some sort... More

This was my favourite place on my Fiji visit, good value, clean, well maintained, on the sheltered side of the island, with some walks around the island, kayaks to use, snorkelling amongst the fish at the end of the jetty. The boat ride was not too far, getting there not too difficult ( taxi or bus and Taxi from Nadi)... More

My husband and I spent four nights here in May 2015! It was the sweetest little place we have stayed, cottages with everything you need to cook for yourselves (bring it over from Rakiraki as no supplies on the island) or you can choose the meal plan and we had Filo look after us with beautiful home cooked meals. The... More

At the end of a business trip, I stayed a few days at Maxime's Nananu Beach Cottages. It was absolutely fantastic. Nice, cosy cottages, clean and well equipped. The island and its scenery are impressive. Excellent hiking opportunities, great snorkeling and beautiful beaches if you can find them. To top it all Maxime and her staff are fantastic. I will...
