I am undecided on what I think about Otto & Fanny's. The resort is a long way behind modern day comforts. Fanny apparantly is against any updating. I think it is now more run down than since last reviews, and unsurprisingly we stayed a week being the only guests. There is no shop, the internet was not working at all... more

We stayed there in 2007. We were obviously aware that this island was not offering the luxuries that other Fjian resorts offer however cleanliness was the one big thing that would of made a difference to the stay. The one bure we stayed in had thatching that fell onto the bedding . The cleaning lady cleaned the bure on checkout in... more

Otto & Fanny's is a small hotel on Tavewa Island right at the Blue Lagoon. Because it`s on the western side of the lagoon, the view is the best of all the hotels in the Yasawas. We stayed in one of their family huts with four beds in one room and a small bathroom. There are hammocks near the huts... more

We had a superb, relaxing tropical island holiday. We stayed in a spacious, rustic and basic but beautifully cleaned family bure with en suite cold water shower and toilet. The bures are well spaced apart in the palm tree setting with the continuous sound of the ocean waves for company. There are mosquito nets and netting on all the windows... more

We spent here 3 nights, we loved it. We stayed in the delux bure, which is bigger then the others and have ensuite bathroom, it was rustic but nice. The meals were excellent, breakfast much better then the one at the posh Nanuya Resort with fresh scones or pancakes; lot of different dishes for dinner, vegetables directly from Fanny's garden,... more

Otto and Fanny's place is so beautiful. They have the most amazing setting and the place is so quiet. We stayed in their deluxe bure and it was definately deluxe. They are very remote and unfortunately the electricity does get shut off at about 11pm and turned back on at 6am so its very sticky at night. The showers only... more

I can't say enough about how wonderful the people at otto and fanny's were! The accomodation was rustic, but very clean, and the food was phenomenal! I was there for my sisters wedding and they could not do enough for us, even though we had the wedding on a different island! The island is secluded but the staff at otto... more

We recently hosted our wedding in the Yasawa Islands and we had the pleasure of staying at Otto and Fanny's for 5 nights. It is an ideal place to stay with a large group of people- as the meals are included and all meals are communal. The chef- Harry- is fantastic and takes great pride in each meal he serves.... more

I would avoid Otto & Fanny's, as well as David's Place next door. I reserved a bure at O&F's for my wife and I on our honeymoon; when we arrived at the scheduled time they had given our bure to someone else, telling us we could stay in their dorms! Not that the bure would have been much nicer. The... more
