A boat trip from Savusavu, which could be challenging in rough weather, takes you the island as it grows on the horizon. The resort is a small and simple one, built along the main ridge of the island with 112 steps from the landing jetty and marine activities area to the ridge top paths. On arrival you are welcomed in... More

After a 28 mile boat ride we arrived at the mile long island and reef which is a marine reserve. While some of the 6 guest bures are now equipped with solar lights, our bure sitting high on the steep hillside had gas lights in the evening and for our hot water. Four of the six sides could be opened... More

No pictures can do this place justice, it is absolutely spectacular, the very essence of adventure. The moment you see the island on the horizon with it's green jungle, turquoise water and soaring white birds you are reminded of every adventure story ever told, but it's better! Namena is lush and rugged and wild and gorgeous. My daughter and I... More

This is a small simple resort being upgraded. Six small , clean bures on a hill overlooking an incredible view of the surrounding reef. Not luxury accommodations, but wonderful staff and world class diving. Nothing else to do here but dive or sit on the beach. There are a few day sailboats and kayaks, but this is a diver's resort.... Two years ago a friend and I spent a week at Namena. Getting there is a challenge, but totally worth the effort. we happened to be the only guests there that week so it was our private paradise. The Figian hosts, Nigel and Aggie could not have been more gracious, the food was fresh (much of it grown right there)... More

Our family went back to Namena Island again in December and had another excellent vacation. The staff at the resort are truly amazing people, and they immediately make you feel so "at home" in Fiji. The food was great (exactly as I remembered it to be!) and the weather was pretty good - although a little bit more windy than... More

Snorkel and dive day trip well worth it. Great reef, yummy lunch, exceptional staff and the most perfect beach in Fiji. The marine park provided excellent coral and sea life - including giant clams, octopus and manta rays.

We stayed for eight days in November. Weather was glorious and so are the island, the reefs, and the resort. The staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you again, Aggie and Eleanor!! The reefs are teeming with fish and corals--great snorkeling right off the beach or the dock, or take the dive boat to the barrier reef for great snorkeling... More

We loved Namena 7 years ago when Tom & Joan were still there - we loved them too but it certainly wouldn't have been for everyone The new Namena is going to be great - why - because actually they are changing little of what makes Namena great. As of November 2014 only one of the 6 Bures ( think... More

Stayed in October. The main attraction is the diving, which is world class. Beautiful reefs, critters, lots of sharks. All the liveaboards (dancer, siren, aggressor) were there while we stayed - which says it all. Probably the best diving in Fiji. The dive crew (DM Sio, Captain Vitale and their team) were excellent: safety conscious, well organised, fun to dive... More
