My husband and I spent a wonderful 5 days at Lomalagi Resort near Savusavu, Fiji, last January. We wanted a quiet, relaxed, private place after our tour of New Zealand, and we found it! The grounds are so beautiful, as you approach you feel like you're going into another world. A green, tropical palm world. The villas are spacious and... more

We stayed at this resort for our honeymoon, and we paid far too much for far too little. Colin is very nice and concerned that her guests have a nice time, and has a lovely website. The setting, a coconut plantation looking over the bay, is quite beautiful. However, in the tropics when paying a small fortune, I think it’s... more

I remember this couple but not for the reasons stated here -- they never said a word about being uncomfortable. This review makes it sound like they were here for quite a while when in fact their stay was only 3 days. The small resorts in Fiji rarely have a/c -- or if they do, the rates are US$1,000/night or...

Lomolangi set high above the bay, home to the "Spinner Dolphins" , they were not unfortunately in residence during our stay, but there was certainly signs of whales. Private is the watchword, given the wet weather we encountered at the start of our week, we were grateful for a well stocked library. The service and staff were excellent, the snorklling... more

We spent 8 absolutely gorgeus days in Lomalagi in June. It was a long way from Moscow to Fiji, but it worthed 18 hours flight! Collin and Terry did their best to make Lomalagi such a lovely place. The hotel area looks like a golf-field - so green, well-groomed and clean. Our villa (#5) had incredible lagoon-view. Sea-breath has waked... more

We are very surprised to see negative comments on Lomalagi. My husband and I had an extraordinary week there and would return in a minute. The resort is gorgeous, on a fairly isolated bay, and quiet. Sometimes the only noise we heard was a coconut falling from a tree and the gentle lapping of the waves. Collin and Terry have... more

This resort will satisfy visitors if you are looking for a specific type of place to call home for a week or so. For us (my wife and three daughters), we loved it. It is located in a beautiful part of Fiji--with views that overlook a georgeous bay. The villas were very clean and neat. No AC; No DVD players... more

My husband and I had always dreamed of visiting Fiji. So it really was a dream come true when we spent five beautiful days at the Lomalagi Resort. The resort’s owner, Collin McKenny, and the well trained staff, did everything to insure that our stay lived up to our expectations, and then some! An added amenity is the menu. Collin... more

My wife and I spent a terrific week at this resort. The cottages were immaculate, very comfortable, and private; and you can't beat the view from the decks -- the largest bay in the Pacific! Meals were great and the staff actually takes the time to ask you weeks in advance what you like to eat and drink. As a... more

If you want a holiday where you really can loaf around and demolish a few good books, interspersed with some swimming, fishing, snorkelling or dolphin spotting - Lomalagi will hit the spot for you. It is not the typical 5 star hotel experience - all posh marble, glamour and a somewhat false experience. Instead at Lomalagi you'll get very comfortable... more

My girlfriend and I headed to Fiji for 3 weeks in Oct / Nov 2006, with Lomalagi being our third of four stops. The Good: Wyse (the barman), Rakesh (the chef), and the rest of the staff are a delight. They'll do whatever they can to be of service. Stunning views and spacious villas (with terrible decor). Sam and the... more

When this couple told us there were "lots of" cockroaches in their Villa, a definite first, we moved them the next day and fumagated the Villa they'd been in. The housekeeper for that Villa said that, after two days of the Villa being completely sealed, there were NO dead bugs. We did ask if their backpacks might have had cockroaches...
