Mine was a business trip, so I needed something convenient in the town area, clean and somewhat comfortable. I've stayed at Hotel Takia before but this time tried the standard room, which was cheaper. I found it quite spacious, clean enough and the air con worked well. That's about all I needed for my short stay. Yes, it needs some... More

This is the most ideal choice of accommodation if you are travelling to Labasa, Fiji because with its recent upgrade of its facilities you get a bargain for Superior Room with excellent facilities for as little as FJD$95. They have a restaurant and bar conveniently located on the first floor and rooms are exceptionally clean with fresh sheets and towels... More

I was recently in Labasa for study purpose and chose to stay at Takia Hotel. I had booked their standard room for 4 nights and to my dismay the room was a nightmare. As soon as I went up to my room I was down at reception for an upgrade. Room had a stuffy smell to it and not appealing... More

A recent refurbishment has helped a lot. Fresh paint and clean floors are certainly an improvement on the alternative places to stay in Labasa. The updated rooms are airconditioned which in the stifling summer humidity is a blessing. We phoned the restaurant an hour in advance to request kokoda as an entree (I use kokoda as a measure of food... More

Stayed in the standard room on the third floor. This section not refurbished as yet so spartan and a bit iffy. Needs new carpets, floors occassionally creak etc. Had fleas on the bed the first nite, management very good changed rooms at 2.30am. Next room much better, no problems. Understand the first two floors all refurbished and breakfast provided in... More

We visited Labasa in April 2011 for 3 nights. The room we stayed in was in excellent condition. It had been reburbished recently and the decor and the colour scheme were very good. The other floors are being reburbished. The service was excellent and all the staff were vry friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is very good,... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. Found the hotel to be very clean and tidy. During the trip I had purchased some fish to be taken to Canada. I had it cut in curry peaces and packaged it in 10 zip lock plastic bags. I asked the front desk staff if I could store it in the hotel... More

I stayed one night here in Dec '09. My stay in Labasa was planned as a two day excursion from Savusavu, but as there wasn't too much to do in Labasa, I couldn't see the point of another night in the Hotel Takia and headed back to Savusavu the next morning. On the positive side, the staff were courteous, helpful... More
