Since we live in Labasa...This is one of our favorite place to dine. The only hotel with an outdoor setting and a pool...transforms you on another world....so close to town....yet it's peaceful and a drink from the bar leaves one relaxed! !

We stay here every year & whilst basic, it is clean, centrally located (a street down from bus station, markets & Labasa Main Street), and within walking distance of the hospital. It is on the banks of the river although no views, has a small pool, a bar with wine by the glass (upon request) & an in-house resturant that... More

Not a lot of choice in Labasa, but this place is OK. Clean, comfortable, good well kept pool. Don't expect fast service, you are on "island time". Situated back off the street so fairly quiet, but not far to walk into the "town centre". Very relaxing, especially sitting around with the locals at night around the fire drinking kava. Would... Very clean room and friendly staff. Locations right in town. 2 mins walk to the bus station and supermarket right next door. I had the most relaxing time. Even though pool was still renovated very quiet and safe place to stay. Highly recommend this place if you in the friendly north.

It didn't start well: I had to beg for attention from the clerk at the desk, who ignored me while she did her paperwork. (This also happened when I tried to check out.) The room was called the 'Presidential Suite' (oh really)? Let's say that no president of anything would ever stay there. The bathroom shower was in dire need... More

If you're looking for a lovely place to relax without the hassle and bustle of the noisy streets, then you're definitely looking at the Grand Eastern. Local cuisine tops the menu and what a way to taste locally produced vegetables...Excellent meals I should say! Rooms are serviced every day. A quaint hotel - this is what I love about this... More

If you find yourself in Labasa for a few days, you won't go wrong staying here. It has a classic laid back Fijian style; as long as you go with the flow you will love it. If you ask nicely, coconuts will be procured. The pool is clean and well kept. The rooms have bullet-proof mosquito protection. And everything in... More

Visited the hotel after few years and the old charm continues in the middle of Labasa City. friendly staff, comfortable but basic room with a balcony with good interior. Above all, rooms and common area are clean. Good breakfast apart from a poolside bar. No complains.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of May and were pleasantly surprised at the standard of accommodation. The room was clean and the hot water was hot. Yes the bathroom needs renovating. Would suggest you pay the extra for a Deluxe Room. The meals were excellent and quite cheap-we had a breakfast, lunch & 2 evening meals.... More
