Julie, Robin and the entire Nakia family really do work at making this place feel like home. Individually catering to your needs is what make it so special, and the fact that they can only accommodate 4 families. THeir keen involvement in the community, low carbon footprint, and full-time presence at the resort means you are staying with people who... More

Wow. This was as perfect as it gets. I have nothing but good things to say about the little piece of heaven that Robyn, Jim, and their daughter Julie have created here on Tavenui island in Fiji. Where shall I start? It begins with a friendly pick up from the airport, a drive down (15 minutes to the resort), and... More

The location is amazing. Jim, Robyn and Julie and their staff make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. They are all attentive without being intrusive. Nothing was a problem for them. The snorkelling on Rainbow Reef was spectacular.

Everyone knows your name and each daily greeting from staff is so genuine. From the staff to the owners Jim, Robyn and Julie nothing is a problem. We have had nine spectacular days and nights and sadly it's past in the blink of an eye. Food, accommodation, snorkelling, diving ... everything is simply amazing. And yes, the people of Taveuni... Wonderful resort - great location, resources (diving, biking, swimming, games), amazing food and friendly, pleasant staff. First - the food! I am a Vegan and the resort accommodated all my food requirements. They were so great to make the meals different each day also. it wasn't just a salad at every meal. The dive instructor and owner even jumped in... More

We spent 4 nights at Nakia with our 3 teenagers as part of our 3 week Fiji holiday. This is our second time to Taveuni, and my husband and I wanted to bring the kids. Nakia is a small resort and you very quickly start to feel like your staying with family. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly... More

Highly recommend the resort especially if you enjoy diving. The resort limits itself to around a dozen guests, we shared the resort with one other couple. We loved the personalized attention and the entire staff went out of their way to make our stay great. We stayed in the Sunset Bure which had great views overlooking the ocean. The resort... More

Nakia was a great to place to stay for 9 nights. The grounds are park-like. With only 4 bures on 10 acres it's very quiet and peaceful. It's like staying in someone's guesthouse on a nice estate rather than a resort. We stayed in the Sunset bure and enjoyed the views. We used the pool every day after diving or... More

What a wonderful lunch. Perfect salad from the organic garden and delicious fish Tacos. Truly a delightful meal. Everything is fresh and served with large portions, almost more than you can eat. Great service, warm and attentive. Great location to look out at the ocean and enjoy your meal. I would highly recommend you eat here if you can.
