I have stayed here on one occasion and recently returned to have lunch. Once again I was struck by the peace and beauty of the surroundings and the people. It is basic but so clean and the kitchen is delightful. The verandah is set up to take in the view and a few steps away from the water's edge. Salote... More

Really enjoyed our stay in the double room. Solar hot water, power in the evening, nice shared kitchen. Beautiful grounds. Get off the bus (going south) at the large building on the left (and bus stop on the right) just before Vuna Village (sorry, but no better landmark and no lodging sign at the road when we stayed). I stayed in Vuna Lagoon Lodge for 3 days. I wanted to do some diving in Taveuni but could not easily find the budget accomodation I needed (as a solo backpacker). I struggled to book this place, and once you get there it's easy to understand why. There is only electricity for 3 hours a day, and no internet! Nevertheless... More

After getting off the plane at Matai Airport we were greeted by our taxi driver for the one hour drive to Vuna (it is more like 1.5 to 2 hours). The sealed road disappeared after about 15 minutes and the journey began. On arrival at Vuna Lagoon Lodge the first thing you notice is the quiet ambiance that surrounds you.... More
