ok, lets start with the bad....arrived at ssh airport at 5pm. wot a fairground!!!! total nightmare. 7 flights arrived in 45 mins, all the people trying to get the arrival visa processed and go through passport control at the same time. paid for 2 visa's for my son and myself to go to cairo later in our stay...price £23. We booked delta sharm for the looks, the room was very nice and clean. The crazy paving was a nightmare to walk on. I was dreading the 5 1/2 hour flight, but found it not asbad as i thought. I paid £5 transfer each way from the airport, via taxi, by bartering. This was an instant saving, as the majority of holiday makers used the private or holiday company options which cost £40 per person. Please go by taxi. After reading mixed report... more

Would recomend delta sharm to any one wanting a week or two of winter sunshine. Accomadation was great 5 yards from one of the many pools with a jaquizzi and water slide. We stayed at Delta last year and I can quite honestly say ... if you aren't fussy ... then you'll have a great time. Yes, the apartments (privately owned are better) are usually of a good standard and the complex is immaculately kept - the gardeners do a fantastic job - I wish they would do our garden at home!... more
