just returned from a week at the camel having previously stayed at hotels at ras um sid outside naama bay. As we were there for the diving being more central seemed ideal and the camel was excellent. Good clean rooms, quiet with no noise at all despite central location. Get a room around the pool. Always plenty of hot water... more

We have recently returned from a holiday in Sinai, preferring to stay in quieter Dahab and Nuweiba. However, due to an early morning flight out from Sharm , we decided to stay one night a little nearer the airport. But where to stay in such a busy town? After some research and reading the reviews on tripadvisor we decided on... more

The hotel/dive club is everything that all the other (positive) reviewers say - and more! I had 3 different rooms (due to my late booking not by any fault of the Camel Hotels) and couldn't fault any of them - I would definitely recommend paying extra for a 'Superior' room though as it's nice having a pool view and balcony/veranda... more

I stayed here April 11-18 2009. It was my seventh visit to Egypt and I’m a diver. The weather was sunny every day, air temperature was 30 degrees and the sea was 22. Visa and transfer from the airport was efficient, friendly and fast, you soon find yourself at the hotel. We had room 205 which was basic but fine.... more

If you're a traveller like me, who prefers not to live inside the velvet lined cages that represent most of Sharm (and mass Euro third world tourism) alternatives, this place provides the opportunity to be in the midst of the tourist fun, with endless choices, and at least the illusion of freedom and safety, but without having to spend a... more

The hotel is very nice with large clean rooms and is located right in the middle of Naama bay so very convenient for everything. The diving trips were well-organised, flexible and we felt very well looked after. I did my PADI referral course here and my instructor was really excellent. The hotel is a bit noisy at night but it's... more

Perfectly located downtown in the tourist area, however when you enter the hotel you can still get away from it all. Excellent service, nice and clean rooms. Diving superb and all the guides and instructors were outstanding with plenty of knowlegde about the dive sites. The Indian restaurant located inside the hotel - Tandoori - serves the best indian food... more

We stayed at camel for our honeymoon, as we wanted to spend the week diving. I was already PADI open water qualified but my husband had never dived before so was booked to do his OW on our trip. We breezed through the airport on arrival, they could teach Newcastle airport a thing or two about dealing with crowds efficiently.... more
