We were here on 25th September for 1 night. I had brought in a big group eager to climb Mt. Sinai and we thought, what other strategic place to rest other than St.Catherine Plaza. We arrived later in the evening after a 11hours drive from Cairo. We were welcomed and guided to the lounge for a briefing before our dinner.... More

We stayed in the Hotel for a night as we need to climb the Sinai Mountain by Camel. There were Bedouins near the hotel offering us to buy their stones & wares. We bought a walking stick since we were going to climb Mt Sinai, the mountain where Moses got the Ten Commandments. Hotel was comfortable with clean bed sheets,... More

My wife and I spent three nights there on December 2009. It is a big hotel, quite old fashioned with no special character. Our room was basic, relatively clean but there was an ugly smell in the bathroom coming from the pipes. Staff was helpful and friendly. Dinner at the restaurant was tasty and well cooked with a variety of... More

You are in de middle of nowhere. You went to this place to go up to hike the mountain, not to relax at the pool. Do not expect nothing more than a terrible mattres, but like I said, this is one of the best in the area. Very close to the entrance os the Monatery!

The hotel is actually an integrated 2 -3 floors bungalows without any lift or porter. Thus the guests will need to carry & drag their own luggages to their rooms. We stayed in this hotel just to clean up ourselves and get some rests after our trip from Cairo and before we started climbing the Mt. Sinai very early the... More

We (my wife daughter and myself) visited Egypt, Israel and Jordan as part a 30 member group from Chennai India. We stayed in St Catherine on our 2nd night at Catherine Plaza Hotel. Since there was no lift in the hotel, and nobody to help us carry our luggage, we had to drag our luggage over some very rough slopes... More

We didn't really expect too much here as it is literally in the middle of nowhere. The food was good and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful - helped to celebrate one of our tour leader's birthday while we were there. Rooms were basic, but clean. Beds a little hard, but after a 12 hour bus ride, we had... More

I stayed in this hotel for one time. From outside it looks very big and attractive but the rooms are poorly maintained and not at all cleaned. The villa type rooms which our group got was very far and there are steep stair cases which makes carrying baggage difficult. The bathrooms were very dirty and water comes only after 8... More

We were told that this was the BEST that Sinai could offer...but it didn't prepare me for THIS! Entering the room, I immediately smelled the sewage. The floor was stick, bed and sheets were of foul smell as well. The wall had a huge hole that they covered with sofa foam. The balcony door was defective so we couldn't lock... More

I didn't expect much of this hotel, previous travelers reviews were helpful. I was happy that the bed sheets were clean, everything else in the room was awful. Large gaps between the room door and the frame will give you a strange feeling. Anti mosquito net on the window is useless, the room walls are "decorated" with blood stains from... More
