This is pretty much about the title - really welcoming staff & great beginners snorkeling. Tasty grill & fresh berries at the beach just add to the pluses. If you want to just have a week to relax at good quality hotel with some snorkeling - this is a choice in Makadi Bay. more

Stayed here from Christmas til just before New Year 2008. Really enjoyed the oriental restaurant and the buffet was good too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Amusingly, everyone assumed we were from Germany, because I guess a majority of the clientele to Makadi Bay are German and Russian. Spacious room, comfortable bed, sizeable bathroom. Super hotel. We stayed at this hotel with two kids. Everything was excellent (food, service, room, etc.). The beach is also good, snorkeling is available The hotel worth 5 stars !!!!!. I would absolutely come here again. more

We spent in this hotel all week in the end of october. It is the 4th time in egypt, but this hotel was the best. Delicious food, comfortable hotel room, lovely garden ans coast, amusing entertainment every evening. Wonderful , wonderful hotel, we will come again. Vita more

We stayed 4 nights in a superior sea view room and it was excellent. Clean, super staff, surrounding green areas amazing, specially at night. Food was average (Riu Palace in Playa del Carmen) is superior more choice of restaurants. The restaurant in the beach area is not as good as the buffet in the hotel. We had a wonderful days... more

We stayed here just after New Years Eve and we had a ball!! Great, I mean really great food, service out of this world and good diving in the bay. Would happily visit again anytime. We like a good deal, and oh boy did we get it with this hotel. Lovely room (rather tired balcony furniture though). Clean and comfortable. The shower worked beautifully (often a tricky one in Egypt).
