First of all this is not a five star hotel like you will find in sharm. This is a standard hotel in Dahab. Overall most things were ok. The food is average, the location lovely and the staff so warm, friendly and helpful. Our room 12b6 was lovely with great views over the Red Sea. My only real gripe was... More

Travel to/from Due to the amber/yellow warning we spent the weeks before we were due to travel stressing whether it would be safe to travel to Dahab or should we change our hotel to one in Sharm. I just wish we hadn't worried. Yes there is a higher level of security and we had to show our passports at checkpoints... More

Loved our stay at this hotel. My two daughter and I met up with family who were already there. Lovely welcome even though it was midnight. Because we arrived in the dark I had no idea of the views surrounding the hotel. Stunning really doesn't cover it! You couldn't ask for better views. An artist couldn't create better views!!!! Granted... More

Chosen because we saw it from a boat trip 2 years ago, we're not disappointed. All the staff are friendly and helpful, starting with Samir, helping us with our bags, and the one and only George Michael on reception. We upgraded our room to 33B1, upstairs, with a sea view. Well worth the extra, which goes into the local pockets... More

It's a very nice place to stay... large rooms, with great ACs, and very neat bathrooms (great cleanliness). The furniture may look a little shabby, but it's ok, and bed linens are very clean! stayed there for almost 5 days, and didn't get the chance to explore the whole place (i'm lazy; i know :$) but as far as i've... Stayed at the Happy Life 1/5/14 to 15/5/14, cannot recommend this hotel enough, this was our 3rd visit. The Hotel is relatively quiet at the moment, due to current situation in Egypt, but in all honesty the Happy Life is a million miles away from any of the problems. All the staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them,... More

Stayed at the Happy Life for 2 weeks in June 14 what a fantastic place It was very quiet due to the problems that Egypt is having at the moment so only around 60 guests but the hotel was still functioning well; all the staff working to give the guests the best experience they could. The food was good quality... More

Just spent 2 weeks in happy life, and it was just that. The hotel was nice an quiet with no more than 70 people there in a hotel that sleeps over 700. This was just perfect for us as at times we had the pool all to ourselves. The views are just amazing with the mountains in the backdrop of... More

Just got back from 2 weeks stay and had an excellent time. Food, room and facilities were excellent. Staff were always welcoming and keen to assist. Lovely beach for snorkeling swimming or simply relaxing. Laguna dive shop on site for beginners and advanced divers. Quad bikes for adventuring into surrounding area. Great safe area and great break in a lovely... More
