Ok, I read some reviews and ask my self if people ever think of circumstances before judging any place in the world with the same metre, no matter if they are in Manhattan or deep down at the edge of Egypt, during one of the most dramatic crisis of tourism ever experienced... This place was just amazing to us! Of... More

My tour group stayed here for one night. Overall the hotel is lovely, nice gardens, lovely restaurant & Egyptian styled decor. The only thing wrong was that the room was not clean. Full of dust & the bathroom wasn't good. Other than that I'd recommend the hotel & would stay there again.

Seti Abu Simbel Around 1000+LE ensuite Wifi: 20LE per day. The Seti is a more 'European' style hotel, though hardly as grand as the price tag might suggest. It does have wifi in public areas and in the rooms (the only Abu Simbel hotel with in-room wifi), and some rooms have idyllic verandahs with views of Lake Nasser. It is... More

What do you expect in the middle of the middle of the desert? A three hour bus ride from Aswan to suddenly find yourself in a thriving township in the middle of the desert yet on the shores of the beautiful sparkling Lake Nasser. the resort was much more than we expected. Sure the rooms may not be perfect in... More

We stayed at the place for 1 night, just for Abu Simbel and I wasn't sure what to expect. It's such a sweet hotel with gorgeous Nile view and swimming pool. The room is minimal but does the job but it probably needs some update. The food was actually nice too.

The good: stunning views of Lake Nasser, easy access to the temples of Abu Simbel, beautifully located and large pools with a pool bar/snacks easily available. The bad: rooms falling apart/windows not fitting, rotting wood in bathrooms, pool water cloudy, breakfast uninspired, poor maintenance throughout. Given the location - ie desert - none of the bad points would really bother... More

Beautifully located and landscaped, an oasis of peace & quiet. Staff went out of its way to accommodate, especially Ashraf at the poolbar. Absence of wi-fi and internet (only one old little terminal in lobby) forced me to unwind and I loved it ! Rooms are a bit stuffy, but they have a terrace right on the lake, and even... More

This hotel is magnificent, with beautiful views of Lake Nasser and serene and beautiful grounds. It's certainly quaint and the rooms don't have the most modern, up to date furnishings, but I loved them. They all have large, domed white ceilings (presumably to collect the stifling heat!) and effective air conditioning, and we had a little deck overlooking bougainvilleas and... More

There is not much to choose in Abu Simbel. this hotel is overpriced even though I negotiated on the spot, $161 on a DBB basis for 1 adult and 1 child. It should be half that price. The rooms are quite basic and the a/c very noisy, bathroom very tired. Food is forgettable. But the 2 pools are fantastic. So... More

So, you want to go to Abu Simbel but don't want to be limited by 2 hours at the temples? Or, you want to see the Sound and Light Show, but don't want to be in a boat? Then staying here is your best option. Brother and I shared a room in Dec 2011. The rooms are exactly how they... More
