Our trip to the Galapagos Islands was in February. Upon landing, climb down on to the tarmac and through a hanger to get through customs. No air conditioning, so dress appropriately. Once you get your luggage, head to the bus. 5 min. bus ride to ferry. Put your luggage on the top of the boat (follow their instructions) and climb... More

This place has great views if you have limited time in Galapagos, It is located close to town. Very close to all. There is a great view of other islands from this place. There are iguanas and seals al over the place. The menu was largely seafood My only complaint was that the food (lunch) came out cold

We stayed here for Christmas for 5 nights. 4 adults and 2 children, 6 and 10 We had 2 rooms. A standard room at the ocean side, and a street front suite at the Isla Sol, across the street. The location of the hotel is great. It is within walking distance to restaurants, ferry rides to other islands, and many... More

This place was fantastic. It has everything: location, view, service, etc, etc. It was expensive, but it was worth it. The day trips in the galapagos are really tough, it's really nice to have a relaxing place to spend the evenings. We were greeted with a welcome drink on arrival, and some free snacks in the room. We had some... More

Great hotel at a beautiful location next to the fish market on the beautiful island of Santa Cruz in the Galapagos, restaurants, shops, pier and Charles Darwin Staion at walking distance. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well equiped. The view is very beautiful, and you get cute Sea Lion visitors by the pool

Dear Flexair, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel! The fish market that is a 2 minute walk from Hotel Solymar is a great spot to snap pictures of visitors' favorite animals, the sea lions. Brown pelicans are quite frequent visitors to the dock as well. We are glad you enjoyed the daily visit of our sea... More

This is a solid option in Pto Ayora. It is a rather small hotel with everything you can expect in this remote place. Good restaurant, good size rooms, consistent hot water, decent Wi-Fi, good breakfast buffet, clean, small pool with a hot tub, good service and they even have a sea lion that regularly visits!!!. It is right on the... More

The description sounded great--private balconies overlooking the ocean, etc. Well, two things: the balconies really "overlook" the bar, pool and breakfast are and, as the rooms are only on the ground and one level higher, the balconies are basically part of this common area. Second thing: we booked one of these but got there to be told we'd been given... More

We stayed for 4 nights while doing some day trips to other islands. Great small hotel with very friendly staff, especially Maria on the front desk. Good included breakfast and nothing too much trouble for any of the staff.
