We stayed at the Solymar hotel for 2 nights while in Galapagos. The rooms are big and very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner we had were great and with a beautiful view of the pool, the ocean and the wildlife. The entire team lead by Renato did an amazing job of making us feel welcome throughout of entire stay. Strongly... More

Came here for dinner. Nice view, good food. However I would like to complain about the service. We ordered a bunch of sushi. It took over 40 minutes to come even though there were only two other tables occupied. When the food came. My brother asked for some togarashi (type of hot sauce present in the menu), however the waiter... More

This hotel has a great location. It is central to restaurants, shops, bike rentals and other services. We could walk to wherever we needed to after our boat tours. The owner was really helpful and friendly with all his guests, to make sure everything was good. The hotel is very good at being environment friendly. They gave us each hotel... More

Stayed at the Hotel Solymar for 3 nights. Oceanfront room overlooking the harbour. Nice pool - but you may have to share it with the iguana and the pelicans :-) Nice sunrise. In the Center of the 'downtown' area. Good breakfast buffet and lunch. Great cocktails. Right across the street from restaurants. Walking distance to the Darwin Research Center and... More

First of all, even if it qualifies as a first class hotel, it is not quite so in my opinion. Maybe for the area the amenities are more than enough and maybe it is just me. I may have expected more. The staff (or maybe all Ecuadoreans) were truly accommodating and ready to help out anytime. Breakfast was better than... More

For myself and my fiancee, this hotel went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. They helped us call taxis, they provided us with a free room upgrade, and they were extremely friendly anytime we needed help. Keep in mind, Galapagos is not the place for a complete luxury hotel experience, but the room at this... More

Nice little hotel on the waterfront and the main drag of this little island town. My room was pleasant, with a terrace opening on the pool-bar area. The breakfast was not good so we were not tempted to eat at the restaurant, but the bar was good. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

My daughter and I stayed here on our last night of a recent trip to the Galápagos just because we had an extra day to kill after our tour, and we were able to get a free night with reward points. It was perfect for our last day: They have a beautiful pool with a spectacular view, it was close... More
