We stayed here for part of our honeymoon and its as excellent. Every part of it. The rooms were spotless & big. The breakfast was great. The dinner was excellent. All the food was fresh. The workers were helpful & attentive. Jimmy, the manager, went more than out of his way to help us with a camera issue that would... More

We stayed for 5 nights at Isla Sol, part of Solymar, but across the street. On the positive side the room was spacious and amenities were good - nice bathroom, aircon etc. The location is perfect in terms of being in the centre of Puerto Ayora and easy walking to all parts of the town. On negative side, we were... More

This hotel is situated on the waterfront, with wildlife often visiting the swimming pool, which is a plus. It is within easy walking to the Pier, the bank and ATM are next door, the best restaurants just across the road, all the major souvenir shops along the same street, the dive shops as well. It is extremely well located. It... More

Stayed at the hotel for 6 nights while on the Santa Cruz Island of the Galapagos. We stayed in the building across the street because they had bigger rooms. Very spacious for the 4 of us. It really does not make any difference for the ocean view because you are 100 ft from the ocean. Breakfast is included nothing special... More

Nice hotel with great views of the ocean. Breakfast was average, but it is an island, so it's OK. Nice to watch sea lions from your balcony. The location is very good for walking in the downtown area to have dinner at one of the restaurants or for shopping.

Wonderful location, easy to walk to everythng. Front desk staff so friendly and welcoming! Room was small but nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nothing special but fine. Did not have any other meal. Drinks by the pool were uber-slow, not very good, and really expensive.

Firstly, this review is very late, apologies! Hopefully people will find it helpful though. We stayed at the Solymar as part of our honeymoon last June, taking a Galapagos within your reach package. This meant we were met at the airport, had tours of the island and several other day tours to other islands all included. We chose this option... More

This hotel was booked was for a 3 night stay while visiting the Galapagos. Walking into the lobby and seeing the beautiful view of the sea in front was amazing. We stayed three nights at Hotel Solymar, walking in without a book late one evening upon our return from Isla Isabela. Paula on front reception was excellent, gave us a choice of rooms, and was helpful when we asked about taxis etc. The room was a good size, I thought, for the Galapagos. It had air-conditioning and a balcony. The... More
