We booked on line for $120 per night. The look of the hotel is nice but the rooms are definitely not worth that price. The bathrooms have a suspicious smell. The location is OK but not great (not on the main street of the small village of Puerto Ayora).

The hotel is a whitewashed Gaudi-esque building with rooms within curvatured "holes". Lots of steps and no elevator so stay on a low floor if that is difficult for you. Eggs are served as one requests at breakfast and bread and fruit accompany it. People very kind and helpful.

Good hotel clean rooms airconditioning nice breakfast. The mainstreet and the harbour are nearby. Visit the fresh fish market. Its nice to see the sealions and birds compete for the leftovers. The staff is very helpfull. We had some problems with our transfer to embark our boat for a cruise. They imidiatly start calling and helped us get the right... More

We stayed at this hotel for four nights following a Galapagos cruise. It's in a very convenient, quiet location just off the main street. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Our room was spacious and clean. Only downside was that it didn't have a pool and it can get quite hot in Puerto Ayora.

My husband and I stayed at the Maineo for 6 nights at the end of March through the beginning of April before we joined a 7 day cruise of the Galapagos. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean, quiet and the beds comfortable. A very nice breakfast of fresh juice, fresh fruit, toast, eggs and coffee or... More

Hotel Mainao is a great 3 star hotel in Puerto Ayora, that offers a nice place to stay at a convenient price. In general, Hotels in Galapagos are priced a lot higher than hotels in Mainland Ecuador. This means that for the price of a 4-Star hotel in the mainland, you will find a 3-star hotel in Galapagos. The same... More

We stayed here as part of our tour. The hotel was nice and in a great location. We were within walking distance to the fish market, great restaurants, Charles Darwin station, and the wharf with the baby sharks. The breakfast was good as well. Our only complaint was that we were given two single beds for a honeymoon. We moved... More

Loved this quirky hotel with it's colorful mosaics and Spanish styling! Staff were incredibly helpful and happy to help in any way. Room was very spacious and bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was OK and the kitchen staff very attentive to your needs. Location is excellent, with everything within easy walking distance. Wifi in restaurant was good but not working in... More

Mainao Hotel is centrally located. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are attentive and kind. Breakfasts are made to order (eggs, yogurt, bread basket, different juice, fruit, and coffee). They offer luggage storage and they have a public computer to check internet. I would recommend Mainao Hotel for your stay.

Very pretty hotel. The room was so clean and we enjoyed hot water shower. Building itself is so stylish and lovely. Only one thing we disappointed is that there is no elevator, so it is very hard to bring all heavy buggages up to our room. The hotel building structure is so complicated and was sometimes difficult to reach our... More
