Our trip to the Galapagos had amazing adventures, but really mediocre service. The islands hotel and restaurant industry need a lot more competition as they have a captive market and definitely do not make that extra effort even if they market themselves as upscale - with Finch Bay being a great example. My review - the positives: - beautiful pool... More

We spent 4 nights at the Finch Bay in Lieu of taking a cruise to the Galapagos. we were picked up at the Baltra Airport by our guide for the next 4 days, Soto. Because our flight was 3 hours late from Quito( which happens frequently due to the fog in Quito in the morning) our itinerary was changed and... More

I wish I would have been able to spend the majority of my time and vacation here! The setting is absolutely beautiful, and it is so peaceful. The staff is very attentive and professional. The food is absolutely amazing, and I appreciate that vegetarian options were always present on the menu. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need.... More

We stayed here for the final 2 nights of our Galapagos trip following a cruise then 2 nights at Galapagos Safari Camp. Finch Bay was a stark contrast to the peaceful environment we had just left. We knew it was close to a busy town but were unprepared for the amount of children and noise at the hotel itself. We... More

We stayed a couple of nights at this establishment and were quite pleased with the secluded location, friendly and professional staff and unbelievable food. Really loved the bar/pool area and the adjacent beach. And the proximity of the lovely attraction Las Grietas. Highly recommend this place.

My friends and I spent 9 amazing days at The Finch Bay Eco Hotel, and it was wonderful. We stayed in Ocean View 1 and Ocean View 2, and we enjoyed getting up early and watching the sunrise from our hammocks. We were very comfortable in our rooms, and enjoyed having wifi throughout the hotel grounds. In fact, I had... More

We were originally booked on a 7 day cruise but as the boat broke down a week before we ended up on a 4 night cruise and 3 nights in the Finch Bay hotel. And on reflection this was a brilliant way to enjoy Galápagos. I got to do 4 amazing dives (hammerheads, white tip and black tip sharks, turtles,... More

Dear Michelle0143, Thank you very much for your review and for your feedback and suggestions, the pre dinner happy hour is an excellent idea and we will start right away, specially now due to the high taxes we pay for imported liquors. Cesar is a great singer, a great person and the best salsa dance teacher in Galapagos, thank you!... More

We returned from our trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands on March 3rd. There is nothing like seeing wildlife up close and personal. This trip will take you to see nature at its best. From the giant tortoises, to the iguanas, birds, sea lions, and sharks. We saw them in their natural habitat. You could get within a foot... More

We didn't realize that we wanted to get off the boat until we got off. And were we ever lucky that we chose to spend 2 nights at Finch Bay to decompress. The food on the boat was goood, not great; the food at Finch Bay was superb. The ceviche mixto, the tuna, the amazing breakfasts, the beautiful path leading... More

Dear Chipperbunny, Thank you very much for your lovely review and for sharing your experience with other travelers, there are pros and cons in a cruise ship and it is the same if you choose a land based option, in my opinion what you did is the perfect mix : some days aboard and some others in a hotel, i...
