My husband and I stayed for $40 per night. Which is nice for a private room private bathroom, mini fridge, and a/c. The location is nice because it's just outside the main road so it's quite at night. The only thing was that there were power outages, for reasons unknown to us. We stayed for 3 nights and the power... More

Germania Casa was a gem of a find! My husband and I travelled to Ecuador to meet up with my daughter who is studying for a semester at USFQ in Quito, and we decided to "wing it" when it came to accommodations and planning (much against my husband's wishes). Please keep in mind that we were there at the end... More

Room was really clean, owner was really friendly offered us tips and tricks to get around, price was quite high without breakfast (50 dollar). Location couple minutes walking distance from the harbour, not on a main street. Hostel is quiet, good night sleep guaranteed. Good shower.

Decided to stay here after reading someone's blog. It was a great place for the price as we'd rather spend money on doing things. Big room, clean and not noisy. Right in town and the owner was always available for questions. It is right next to the lagoon which is a great place for a stroll in the morning to... More

We booked 5 nights here as it was one of the cheapest places to stay and we were on a budget. It really was much better than we expected, even better than a lot of other hostels we have stayed in in South America! Air conditioning, a big room with a private bathroom, a table outside our room to chill,... More

Germania is a genuine hotel run by amazing Rafael and his family. We spent 7 nights here during our trip to Galapagos and we couldn't be happier with our choice. After we provided Rafael with our flight details he happily picked us up at the airport and drove us the 40 minutes or so to Puerto Ayora for only $15/pp.... More

We stayed here for 9 days while visiting the Galapagos. Clean, comfortable rooms and linens, fresh towels and a hot shower. The staff was very friendly, but seemed a little put-off by the fact that we didn't arrange any tours through them. The room had air-conditioning, which was great because it's very humid in Puerto Ayora. Breakfast wasn't included, which... More

The place is kept clean and the owners are very sweet. The air conditioner was heavenly since we were just there in May. They have at least one room with a sink (in addition to one in each private bathroom) and all rooms seem to have a small refrigerator, which we found very useful. For the price and location, we... We stayed 4 nights, we just wanted somewhere cheap but comfortable and when we were planning the trip there wasn't much available in the price bracket. The room was clean, a bit dark because the property next door had gone upwards and blocked the view. However we didn't find this a problem as the room being at the back was... More

Disappointing, shabby room, unpleasant to be in. Paid 40 dollars, as solo traveler, stayed one night and escaped to a superb B&B, for the same price, 2 houses away - Capitan Max -the best place I slept in in Ecuador, which I will review separately. Back to Germania - I asked for an inside room to avoid the noise from... More
