I stayed 3 nights in the hostel part of this hotel. It definitely needs some maintenance. Its run down, really small and my room didn't come with an airco what made it a bit hard to sleep. The toilet was broken, no hot water. The hotel looks really nice but it comes with a difference price tag. Breakfast was good... More

We (couple, 41 & 50) stayed at Hotel/Hostel Flamingo for one night in May 2014. We paid $38 for a room with air-conditioning in the older "hostel" section. The room was small and run down but clean. The door was glass with a curtain to draw across. The bathroom was small, too. The hotel/hostel is five minutes walking from the... More

Pretty good room for the price we negotiated a good one. Safe did not work so had to hide are valuables. The bathroom we had was poorly designed. Room was clean, bed was pretty soft. You dont stay in the room much here because you are here to see the islands. Free breakfast on the roof, good food. I would... More

Great hotel with cheaper rooms out the back, $28 a night for two of us in twin room with fan and our own bathroom. Basic but perfect for us. We stayed here for 4 nights over 2 weeks, staff were fantastic!

Flamingo Hotel provided us with a great economical room, that was the same price as a private room in a hostel. The service was fantastic, and the room was spacious and cleaning daily. We also had hot water, and it was only two blocks back from the waterfront. The only issue was the noise. I think there are permanent residents... More

Flamingo and its owners are doing great. The young couple built a great new section 3 years ago with 3 levels of beautiful rooms all with AC, a comfortable lobby to sit by, having a free coffee or tea, chat or check your emails. On the rooftop, from 6 am to 10 am, you can have a full breakfast including... More

Flamingo Hotel is great value for what you pay. We paid $30 for a single room with private bathroom and full size bed. The lobby and main hotel is very nice. It looks like it's been remodeled recently. The cheap rooms are further in the back outside. The reason that this hotel is only getting 2 starts in mainly the... More

My husband & I had been stumbling around town trying to find something in our price range &/or something we could pay for by credit card. Hotel Flamingo looked outside of our price range from the lobby. However, the lobby and above hotel are pretty nice (I think? I didn't look in a room) but behind, they have a budget... More

Because I mistakenly expected wifi to work from my room, I moved out of this hotel after two nights. But, the my room was kept very clean, wifi did work very fast from their lobby, and the owner couple and his son were all very helpful and nice. The son spoke very good English and was always there to assist.

We arrived in Purto Ayora without a reservation, not that it would be a problem, but to stay anywhere was going to cost, and not a small amount, then by chance we wandered into the Flamingo, it does look quite new and swanky outside, but what the hell. They had availabilty and to our amazment it was cheaper than anything... More
