Stayed here for 5 nights during our trip to the Galápagos Islands. First of all due to a mix up on the booking site (nothing to do with the hotel) we were upgraded to a suite for no extra cost and the hotel staff were ever so apologetic. The hotel itself and the rooms are spotlessly clean. They are cleaned... More

Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband while doing day-trips from Puerto Ayora to other islands. Was slightly worried beforehand since I couldn’t find many reviews and thought that the hotel might be a bit too basic for our liking. However, I needn’t have been worried. It is a lovely family-owned place, which has some of the vibes of... More

Good location and pleasant hotel. Stayed there for 5 nights in June 2014. Would certainly recommend it. It is close to the center and sea. Quiet part of Puerto Ayura. Nice staff. Breakfast is nothing special though.

Perfectly located to explore Tortuga Bay – right at the entrance to the trail in fact! They rent snorkel gear for very reasonable prices. Breakfast was delicious, including eggs and fruit. The hotel is clean, pretty, and you feel like you are in a bit of an oasis with the pool located in the center of the hotel. Maria, who... More

The Hotel Santa Fe is in a great location almost at one end of the main street that runs along the water front in Puerto Ayora. It is only 5 minutes walk to the ferry dock and 5 minutes walk from the start of the Tortuga Bay trail. The room was spacious and clean and the central pool area looked... More

This hotel is at a great location probably. One of the closest to Tortuga Bay entrance, but only 2 blocks ~5 minutes from the main street. You can walk pretty much everywhere in town. The rooms are modern looking relatively new with AC and fridge, but I would highly recommend to pay a bit more for a unit that has... More

We really relied on Trip Advisor before our trip to the Galapagos Islands. We took a cruise and opted to stay longer at Puerto Ayora for 2 additional nights (Feb 2014). Santa Fe was a great place, super clean hotel, spacious rooms and great breakfasts in the morning. The only problem is that their neighbor seems to have a rooster... More

We enjoyed this hotel because the room was a nice size, the bathroom was clean/big enough, and the staff was as helpful as possible (although none speak any English). Our only complaint was the 22% added to our final bill. 12% was the "service charge" (not sure what that means) and 10% was tax. It made our room a little... More

Dear Ruth, I write you to explain you a little bit more about the added values to your total. Well VAT or government tax is 12% of the total, as you know that is a value that you cannot omit. And the service charge (10%) it is also a fee that the government made us to include, this fee goes... More

The hotel is small and quiet. It is run by the family that lives there. The only negative would be the breakfast could be varied slightly. We were there for a week so we chose to go out toward the end of our stay. Other than that, it had decent internet for the area, (nowhere has great internet) The rooms... More

Well located a little way from the port. Clean and nice but not exceptional. Felt a little overpriced. Water and AC stopped working during the night, which was bothersome, although we received a 20% discount, after asking for it :-(. Breakfast was below average.
